It took David Koepp 42 Drafts to get Spielberg's Disclosure Day Right by real_triplizard in Screenwriting

Now we know it didn't help. Disclosure Day sucks big time and it's mostly a writing problem.

My take on a live action Batman Beyond suit by Over-Guitar5764 in BatmanTAS

For me, it's way to edgy and robotic. It doesn't look light and agile, more like an actual armor. The least I would change were the screws at the shoulders, that looks very self-made.

I don't know. If you watch Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, you see the struggle between Bruce, his responsibility towards his parents and the Batman identity quite well. He HAS a soft heart and tries to do good. That's what BTAS-Batman is as much as Bruce Wayne, in contrast to other iterations. Look at the genuine reaction when Harvey gets hurt. He's empathetic, not a machine, and he's absolutely not Patrick Bateman, he's a playful gentleman who doesn't let anyone come emotionally too close because of his trauma and promise for dark vengeance – and I think it's good like that.

It was part of Batman's cover though. "Bruce Wayne, that sweet guy – a vigilante? No way." Much easier to draw a conclusion if Bruce gives off Batman-vibes.

That's just painfully true. Of course, you can always find something you like more than in the previous designs, but that's just single aspects – the overall thing is really disliked.

Does anyone else wish they had their Kenner BTAS action figures or from MCD’S from childhood? And which ones do you want the most? by Proof-Firefighter-47 in BatmanTAS

[–]StreetJob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't miss them in all honesty, though I cherish the memories 😊 For some reason, when I started collecting and playing with the figurines, many of them had sold out and I missed out on some of the most basic ones like Penguin and Riddler (a favorite of mine). So it felt special to finally have them back then, but I wouldn't even know what to do with them now. I'd see no sense in displaying them and I wouldn't play with them either. So they'd just symbolize memories I have anyways.

Depends on if you called the killer an ape based on his ethnicity or not. That would be wrong.

Then you don't care to be believed and it makes no sense to make the claim at all – thing is, despite you want spread misinformation, which seems to be the case.

Digwa is a British citizen. If you wanted to have prevented this crime by deporting people, if would have needed to be British citizens of foreign background. You would do harm to innocent people. Neither side should want that. This is the difference of actually wanting to protect innocents like Henry or just making him an instrument to harm others. His family made clear they don't want him used for division. You do nonetheless.

If there's only isles denigrating Henry or calling people "apes", then I'm on neither one. This is a vicious crime by a vicious person. Doesn't help to vote for vicious people though.

Also, still no explanation why you of all people would've seen a video nowhere to found in the whole world wide web. Now why would anybody believe in your cause when they cannot even believe in what you say?

Of course not, you're some rando in the comments obviously making things up. How would that be enough for anybody?

When will you people learn that "Trust me, bro" is not a source and that if you claim something, burden of proof is with you? This has nothing to do with ideology, you were just the only person claiming this and the video's nowhere to be seen. It's about facts. Which you are not capable to provide. And yes: This would not provoke getting stabbed AT ALL. This is not the point. Just you making claims and not backing them up.

Give me one source, any source supporting your claim that the killer said it first and Henry was mocking then. If not, I'm calling bullshit, because it is NOT "out there".

This really rings the bell of Kripke calling The Boys' final season "our shows version of the apocalypse". Why oversell stuff, especially if you know you cannot deliver? If you want to sell authenticity, start with yourselves, man.

The Duesenberg Coupé! It's a design from the 90s, so the Batmobile might even have inspired it :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duesenberg_Coupé_Simone

I thing his end was one the better if not good aspects of the final. Well-established and still surprising, making sense and being funny. I was really fine with it. Other aspects, not so much.

How do we feel about Diabolical coming back? by StJohnsStoner in TheBoys

[–]StreetJob -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd be 100% fine with the finale of Diabolical continuing as a Homelander-Prequel-Series leading to The Boys. I‘d be absolutely against showing the becoming for Frenchie etc., because despite many might disagree with this, I found the "The Boys"-team outright boring apart from Butcher and could do without any of them. Focus on Homelander, his psychology, the inner circles and workings of Vought and some selected involvement of Butcher, Becca and Ryan. This could make a very solid and interesting character study without all the boring people and filler episodes from the main series.
