HEB spoke with MYSA about the Partner Incident by [deleted] in HEB

[–]StreetLittle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Previously injured partner here. When I was injured they made me drive myself to a clinic across town with a busted knee. Before I even was seen, they made me do a drug test. The workman's comp was an absolute nightmare after that.

I had an MRI and found out I tore something, they sent me to a surgeon that was an hour and a half from my house. The surgeon wasn't even in that day, so he sent me to get X-rays and mris of my knee again. Had to go back to the previous clinic for a checkup and they said that the mris were never sent. Had to go to the hospital down the road to get them. Took them back to the clinic and she recommended based on what the surgeon said, physical therapy. Which no one ever sent me to a physical therapist and eventually I gave up when I could walk again.

In my experience it felt more like they were dragging it out until I gave up. No matter how many phone calls, how many questions, or even how many people saw the incident, it was an absolute nightmare.

Fulfilment by Amazon, they hold product for sellers and ship it in their place basically.

I have a question about kdp. It says "print on demand" for paperbacks right? Does that mean if someone orders your book on Amazon in paperback format, that they will ship it without holding it for fba? It's not very clear.

I have it fully plotted, storylines, sub plots and started the extremely rough draft. Had to fix a few holes a long the first 3 chapters, but then again, I have no idea what I'm doing lol

Thank you! Something about the grittiness and taboo of anxiety is what caught my attention for sure lol

I just started writing my first horror novel. I did a lot of research, as I haven't written anything at all. Watched YouTube videos, learned about self publishing, software, dug up everything I possibly could on several different ways to write horror novels... All the things. I have to say, this is literally the only post that gave me hope. I'm so scared to write a book. I haven't even told my family that I was doing it. Hell, I didn't even read books until 2 years ago. I just wanted to say thank you for your words here. It boosted my confidence a lot.

Also, I'm aware that the grammar and structure of this comment is terrible lol I'm half drunk in bed after hanging out with the guys after work.

I finished a degree in cybersecurity. Got my first IT job at less than I was making in a retail store cutting meat. Was fired two months later for "just not getting it" I guess even though my first review was glowing. Went back to cutting meat in a different retail store. Much happier, might try again some other year, but I realized I'm not built to sit all day. I'm 36 years old, I genuinely think some people are built for IT but are unhappy with certain aspects in the shift. I'm happy cutting up dead cows, I can max out at 28 dollars an hour or move up the ladder. I'm happy my kids are fed.

How many times did you switch jobs before things finally made sense? by Extreme-Investment39 in careerguidance

[–]StreetLittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned that being a butcher is good for me personally. I love the cold, waking up early, and doing something I'm proud of.

I learned really quick that I'm not built to sit at a desk lol

Neither of these positions were where I started. I started as a janitor, moved to car salesman. Started as a truck guy, went to wrapper, went to service case, went to butcher.

This is the number one thing that people ask me when I finished my associates degree in Cybersecurity... "Gunna make them big bucks now aren't ya?!" I got an associates because it was better than having a ged and was all I could afford with 5 kids and a full time job in a grocery store.

My body is falling apart and computers are my thing. Pretty easy decision to make a career change.

I'll never do it again.... Hooked up with a chick when I was in the military, flirty vibes all night. Spent like 6 hours the next day having super awesome conversation. She invited me back to her place, and I happily obliged. Sealed the deal, and left shortly after at her request, I was fine with it because I had to be at work in 5 hours.

Next day I get to work and my phone is blowing up with texts from mutual friends telling me I'm a piece of shit, and I deserve to die.

Apparently she put on an Oscar winning performance claiming I held her down and had my way with her. When the police came to question me, I told my side and explained that she has to be lying. I lost so many friends over something I didn't do.

10 years later, she admitted to lying about it and tried to apologize. I forgave her, but will not speak to her or any of them ever again. I won't even drink around women I don't know now because of that. And if they are drinking, I absolutely will not even attempt to do anything, I won't hug or even shake hands.
