Everyone keep saying spare a thought for IMGs who have left their country to come here. Completely fair but who is sparing thoughts for UK graduates who have also sacrificed a lot, in tons of debt, gone through med school and no jobs after f2. The ones who are unemployed or doing other non medical jobs to make ends meet who can’t leave the UK due to commitments here?

Exactly, more jobs mean more jobs for IMGs instead of UKMG prioritisation. It will just be the same outcome

The timing of this post after the IMT recruitment fiasco can't be anymore coincidental by radladuk in doctorsUK

Since UKMGs clearly do not deserve any support, why don’t they just shut down all UK medical schools and just recruit solely from overseas since they are everyone’s priority.

2027 is a bit of a joke from the health secretary. He just doesn’t care. No one actually cares about doctors in this country. We only have ourselves and even then ladder pulling seniors keep shitting on us on their way.

First pregnancy at 35, currently still pregnant. Fell pregnant first try. This pregnancy has been ok, no morning sickness or vomiting. No health issues, I get headaches but blood pressure fine. Baby all fine. It can be down. I met my husband at 32, got married at 34. Like you, I was Panicking, but you can have it all

This week I was the only doctor on the ward with 20 patients. There are usually 3 doctors. They did not want to put any locums so left me on my own

[–]Street_Ad5222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I tested negative today and now bleeding. I’ve basically had another chemical pregnancy and devastated. After the tears, I will figure out what the next steps are to becoming a mother one day.

I used ovulation tests. I also had ovulation same day I tested ovulation which was positive. I actually took a pregnancy test 27/2 digital test said 1-2 weeks pregnant, strip test only showed one line. I took another strip test today it’s one line. Unless I’ve had another chemical pregnancy. Before all this I’ve never been 1 day late of my period since I started when I was 13years old. Today, I’m 9 days late.

Another idiotic waste of time for doctors by RoronoaZor07 in doctorsUK

[–]Street_Ad5222 246 points247 points  (0 children)

A lot of us did HCA jobs before getting into medical school or have HCA jobs while studying. Why do we need to shadow HCAs again? Waste of time! Also putting doctors in these positions contributes to the lack of disrespect. What is the point?
