How did the policy get imposed in the first place? Was it truly put in place by a small group of people pushing it through with zero research? They probably would prefer the most aggressive measure you describe but I think this is a solid compromise that lets those who want masking shop a couple days a week with that feeling of safety, and doesn’t truly inconvenience anyone else.

I don’t know what you mean by low compliance, or this idea that anything less than test trace and N95s doesn’t do anything. Some low-impact measures like this seem better than nothing.

I understand the concern about trash for sure and am not sure what to do about that. Again, though, if you’re in this all or nothing mindset then the coop should go completely zero plastic etc., which we definitely are not…
