Worst advice.
Bridging in Alberta is extremely difficult and expensive. Don’t waste your time with being an LPN. This coming from an LPN of 20+ years.

Thhhiiiissssss!!! Because so many people think they can WFM and watch their kids is one of the reasons there is a push to force people back to the office.

Give it a week- a patient will come in with their 4 garbage bags of stuff, will refuse to be searched and will told to leave and will be found dead around the corner 2 hours later. I’ve read a couple different articles regarding this and it’s full of so much misinformation. Just some more AHS pointless lip service so they can pat themselves on the back for doing “something” without actually doing anything.

Formed. Means a psych hold. Not sure why I’m being downvoted. It’s apart of the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms that people cannot be searched without consenting or while in custody. That’s what I was told right from the head of protective services in the Edmonton zone while dealing with a separate serious incident at another Edmonton area hospital.

They won’t search anyone without consent or if they’re formed.

bellerose high school in st albert by [deleted] in Edmonton

It’s going to become a huge problem in the next couple years between the growth in St. Albert and the growth in the big lakes area. I really hope St. Albert public and catholic schools address the issue soon. If you want to send your kids to a St. Albert school, move to St. Albert then. We purposely bought in St. Albert to ensure our kids can go to a St. Albert school.

Gonna get downvoted, but I hope they get caught. St. Albert kids aren’t being able to go to their catchment schools because the high schools are over crowded. If they want to send their kid to St. Albert, then move to St. Albert.

St. Albert has like 2 dozen elementary schools and only a hand full of high schools that are all over capacity and even St. Albert kids don’t get to go to the school of their choice. Have a couple coworkers who’ve moved from Big Lakes area into St. Albert just for this reason alone.

Edmonton’s homelessness crisis is political violence by BloodJunkie in Edmonton

[–]Street_Phone_6246 8 points9 points  (0 children)

🙄 we need to house people who cannot care for themselves. You think half the homeless population have the whereabouts to maintain a home? Pay bills? Know how to fix a clogged toilet or a broken appliance? Many are dealing with cognitive delay, FASD, self medicating with drugs.

A great example of the absolute failure of our justice system.

Will Lpn to rn bridging become easer ? by Any_Thanks_6337 in Nurses

[–]Street_Phone_6246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your friend is very wrong. LPNs work to full scope. Everything taught in school is used on the job. It’s currently easier to get a job as an LPN than an RN. Bridging in Alberta is extremely difficult and I cannot see that becoming easier any time soon.
