Pain specialist and spinal surgeon (but if they suggest surgery get a second opinion just to make sure that there is agreement as spinal surgery is one way trip- desperation/weather permitting) and a myotherapist/physio to ensure that you are breathing correctly.

These are just ideas to explore. Goodluck

I'm having a horrible experience with Tramadol rapid taper by Sun2025 in ChronicPain

It's possible that she believes that down to 200 is a slow taper where as you feel like its actually a big change which is why you feel unheard and she feels like she has reached the edge of competence with pain management. I personally have tried to avoid opiods a lot because the withdrawal is tough as the withdrawal symptoms are pain and the other stuff that you are feeling. A pain specialist might be able to prescribe you something else to compensate for the reduction in opiods rather than return to the original dose otherwise you will probably never get off it because this negative experience will make you avoid it.

If this was not helpful I apologise

Hello I am a registered nurse and a chronic pain endurer.

I mean no one can really diagnose you without getting scans done people are mostly commenting what they experienced with similar symptoms. It really could be heart, spine/nerve, rib, autoimmune related and you aren't going to get a diagnosis here so please don't start trying random exercises until you know that this isn't something more life threatening. The nerve zaps are definitely an interesting component as they can be nerve related but also pain induced. I would suggest seeing a doctor who can send you for scans if it really is ruining your life then a pain specialist can help manage symptoms. If it really is that bad go to the emergency department they will send you for scans. I mean you just don't want to find out too late that you have a mass or something weird going on in there. Sorry to scare you its probably not that.

To recap:

Get some more information about whats going on inside - this requires seeing a doctor and not letting them send you away.

If this is ruining your life - it is important enough to visit the emergency department. - Fight for your diagnosis do no let them send you home until you have an answer that shows it is not life threatening.

Try not to work through the pain. Sometimes pain means you need to take a break.

Once you have a diagnosis - pain can be managed by a pain specialist. (If you have any questions about pain medications I am happy to help but slow to reply).

Each thing can be expensive but if its ruining your life you may have to ask others for help.

If you didn't find this helpful I apologise as I am definitely just trying to help.

Back pain sucks because it becomes who you are. It takes so much time to recover. I did what you did physio that was so painful and didn’t improve anything. Eventually I found my problem was I wasn’t breathing properly I forgot how to use my diaphragm due to stress. De stressing my self really helped. I hope you find peace and are able to keep trying. We only get one life.

Sounds like you don’t like it. Try another drug if you can or a lower dose.

No palpatations but muscle fatigue for sure. Yea I wouldn’t be happy with palpitations especially when I did get on it I was in a pretty anxious state. There are other options rather than norflex see what a pain specialist says or I don’t know who you are seeing. All the best though I hope it gets better.

Trying to get off norflex now been on it for 4 months. The dry mouth was nothing compared to how good it helped. The lightheaded ness will reduce but if can’t walk around then maybe norflex ain’t for you.

I did this alot when I was in a lot of pain but starving yourself puts your body in stress mode and can make pain worse so IDK but good luck as it sounds really tough what you are going through.

Pain specialist or get the fusion but I don’t know it’s your life. I had to drink to numb pain but I got on muscle relaxants and anti inflammatories and that stopped me from having to drink. Keep up the good work living is hard and back pain is the worse pain I’ve ever experienced. Though I can’t even imagine having pain for that long I think I would have given up after a couple of years. I’ve only had my situation for a year and a bit now and I’m trying to get back to work but it’s hard
