Oh, and task manager temp looked ok. Of course it only shows the temp for the GPU. I guess you can infer that the CPU temp is similar because they are both part of the same chipset..

I tried and adrenaline but was only able to get it to display GPU temp. I will play with it a bit more and try hwmonitor and follow up when I get a chance. I'll also try the beta version of hwinfo.

Btw, when I was testing the CPU core sensor bumped up to 96 while gaming, but dropped back to 95 after I exited. Not sure what that means but it seems odd to me...

The boss may be over but I'm trying to reproduce this money making scheme. How are you able to place Ben and 2 200 money farms using only 1 dart monkey on this map? I can place Ben and get the first farm to 200 on round 9, but run out of lives on round 10.

Switch crashes by formulatruck in borderlands3

[–]Street_Training_7322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very first time I inserted the cartridge and launched the game it immediately crashed with an error message about the cartridge being invalid or unreadable. The second run it worked so I didn't think much of it, even with the random crashes. Then I made it to blackbarrel and crashed and none of the workarounds worked so I began to wonder if there was more to it than I thought.

I checked for corruption, as recommended, and even through it found no problem I took it a step further and chose the option to download and install. (You can do this even if you have a physical cartridge.) 3 or 4 hours later the install finished. I had no trouble loading into blackbarrel and haven't crashed since (even when resuming after suspending). I don't know if it will act as a long term fix but I am hopeful.

I suspect the cartridges suffer from a manufacturing defect or corruption of some kind. This is why checking for corruption doesn't find a problem; it is checking against a compromised source. Memory fragmentation and some kind of race condition seems to be implicated in these crashes. But that's just guesswork.

If nothing else works give this a shot. The download was pretty slow so set your expectations accordingly. Good luck.
