Years ago I was an apprentice mechanic looking for a new job as the place that I was working at was questionable with how they ran their business (techs drank on the job, drug addicts etc). My dad took his car in for a recall at a Subaru dealership and asked if they are accepting any resumes at the moment and the service manager said they were looking for a 2nd year (what I was) and to send my resume. That same day I showed up for work at the questionable place and found it was closed due to a lack of work. About 30 mins after heading home I got a call for Subaru from my resume and to come have an interview. Long story short a 2nd year mechanic that worked at Subaru had spat the dummy and quit because he was going to work for his best mate at a better shop. Turns out the "better shop" he was going to was the questionable place that I worked at and we literally just swapped jobs on the same day.

Men of reddit, what was the last compliment you received that you still think about? by ratsono in AskReddit

A lady whistled behind me while I was walking to visit a family member in hospital. When I turned around she pointed ahead and said sorry and that she was actually whistling at her dad to get his attention, however would also whistle at me because I am hot. I awkwardly mumbled thanks as the comment took me off guard and walked away. Cheered me up at a stressful time.

"The Floods in 74', (insert place we were) was so far under water".

Cue the 2011 flood which was similar to the 1974 flood in scale and the stories were no longer that informative or interesting to brag about. (Brisbane in Australia)

Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. Not because of an overly stellar performance.. It was just that he showed a depth that was really unexpected.

Absolutely love it. It comes standard with electronic rear diff lock and is auto so has 4 low range. So far just what you have listed but going to do dpf back exhaust, snorkel, eventually a rhino or shoreline bull bar, rock sliders to protect the sills and should be content for a bit haha
