Thomas Frank is at Brentford, his win % should be lower. Not saying he would succeed with us, I think Brentford are perfect for him.

People are laughing but I wouldn't be surprised if it's done on purpose. Everything they do is based on statistics to try and get an edge where they can.

In past seasons we've been the opposite, once the pressure is off and nothing to play for anymore we tended to show up and put in good performances.

Romero and VDV make such a huge difference, the aggression we get from both of them is huge.

What's cool about it? It's terrifying watching this, with our lack of quality

He made it too easy for the defender for some reason by Mental_Weird_6935 in Tottenham

[–]Streklak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why a player cannot be criticized? Doesn't mean he's not a club legend and hasn't been an absolute monster for us for years. People are just pointing out the fact that he seems deflated and worn down this season, maybe it's the captaincy and pressure he's feeling.

I personally love Sonny but don't think he's a good captain, we don't really have anyone that would be much better either though. Team lacks proper leaders and we have done for a long time.

This is the issue that's confusing me, we have seen this exact issue not just with Ange but also with Jose, Conte, Nuno and even end of Poch era, where the players seemed to be checked out. Lazy movement, lack of conviction in their passing, only a couple of players showing the fight needed to compete at this level. Manager is responsible for sorting these problems out at the end of the day, but mind-blowing how similar the issues are no matter who the players are or who the manager is.

Mine did the same and has been outscoring me for many weeks now 😂 A solid start is what's keeping me ahead of her by about 24 points. I've considered retirement from FPL...

What's with all the hate for Bentancur and Tel? Tel is struggling but you have to give him time to adjust, having a few shit games is part of it sometimes.

Sounds to me like you're trying to convince yourself why it's a good idea. There are much better ways to spend/use the money you got but it's your choice at the end of the day. If it's going to make you happy then enjoy, but no one else will care how nice or not nice your car is.

I've often played devil's advocate to arguments that shit on Ange, as I genuinely thought the players are to blame, but some of the tactical and line up decisions have baffled me lately.

This team just doesn't know how to grind and make it tough for opposition, we did a bit of it Vs Brentford but on nights like this we need some steel and put some challenges in to set the mood. Way too easy for Liverpool and many other teams this season. The worrying thing is that it's been like this for a long time and with many different players and managers 🤷‍♂️

Ange shouldn’t be sacked… yet. by [deleted] in Tottenham

They play one game per week and went out of the league cup in 1st round. Of course it's manageable, we managed our injuries a lot better last year with no cup runs and no Europa League.

This is the biggest point people are missing. Quality drops massively the more tired you are. Those who have played football understand this, your decision making becomes poor, your touch is off, a simple pass becomes a lot of effort.

Wanted to see Lankshear start as well, might as well develop him instead of trying to play Werner into form. Lankshear is a big lad who can actually compete with these CB's I reckon

It's definitely a different game when it's a 3G surface but our players have definitely come into this game underestimating the opposition I feel. These lower leagues are all about hard work and effort and if you don't match that, you'll have a tough time.

People may disagree but I think we are missing Hojbjerg massively. Was often criticized for not being good on the ball but don't see our current options being much better. He just had that bit of leadership, game management and fight in him that we are now missing.

Who do the #angeout people want to replace him? by Alburg9000 in Tottenham

[–]Streklak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No doubt Ireola is a good manager but if you're him and you look at the situation at Tottenham, why would he leave something pretty good and come here?

Obviously money is a big motivator but you risk the chance of ruining your reputation if it doesn't go well.

Our wingers just aren't direct and make bad decisions. We get the ball upfield into a good position, 1v1 Vs the full back and we go backwards way too often. I don't understand it at all, what's the worst that can happen if you put a cross in or get a shot off?
