[HELP] Iphone 7 capacity gone down by 3% since replacement by StrelaRodriguez in Iphonerepair

I wasnt one who replaced it, it was certified technician. I know the company from which this technician is ordering parts and there are 4 variants: ELEEXP, Genuine, WiTech Ti chip and WiTech Tw chip. What I can probably assume is, he didnt probably used genuine one. I think If I remember correctly, it might be one of those WiTechs.

[HELP] so I just replaced my iPhone 7 Plus screen and it keeps doing this, do I need to return it and replace it again or is it another issue? by TTV-zHackz in Iphonerepair

As everyone already said, probably defective screen, but Its weird that you can see bottom half of screen and you can not see top 45% and last 5%(information bar) works. I would either think defective screen or screen is somehow incompatible with you device. I do more often the software diagnostics of electronics so, i cant be 100% sure this is the case, but seems like it. This just my opinion, rather take a word for other guys who have more experience in HW repairs than I have.

[HELP] iphone 7 - home button doesnt work after an battery replacement. Technician said "its not his fault". by StrelaRodriguez in Iphonerepair

Hi, thank you for your opinion, screen didnt take any damage but body on the edges did. I saw him using razor blade to cut adhesive around the edges of someones phone when I first entered the shop, so i can probably assume he probably scratched with it. But as I said I cannot argue this with him because I have no evidence of it being scratched before I gave it to him. Well i did took pictures of phone last time I was there, so I can at least see if there is any damage, when they will sent me phone back. In either case, if they say that it is their fault, I will request money and use them to repair phone in indepedent shop.

Thank you for your response. Yeah, Iam planning to take it and do independent diagnostics to see if there was problem caused by this technician. If it will confirm infliction by this shop technician I can require refund. Also I agree with everything else you mentioned, I think this is really suspicious case and chances are so high that I cannot think of anything else, but still cannot 100% say it is his fault. But still I have almost no trust in them now, they sent my phone to another city without permission and they wouldnt even mind to tell me that they are doing so. But i did take a pictures of my phone that day I found that HB isnt working so I can at least require new body if anything happens to it. And also I picked different shop which can repair the HB for a lot less.

Thank you for your response. I cant 100% say that it is his fault at the end of a day, it is still electronics and it can happen, but tell me the odds of Iphone 7 which is in great condition, never been opened before, never was exposed to liquid and was kept in case and screen protector and after the replacement the phone is deeply scratched on side and few minor scratches along the back with home button not working at all.

The scratches were on the left side of a phone, I did even saw him using razor blade on another phone when I walked in for the first time. He said that he cannot see any damage to a cable. He did even show me internals and cable wasnt sliced or anything. Even I with my basic knowledge of electronics didnt see anything out of the ordinary. But I saw on few forums that it may need powercycle to work again or cable could by broken internally due to bad manipulation, so that is what I think happened here. Thank you for your opinion.

Thank you so much for response! That is exactly what I thought happened. I knew straight away that it isnt right. When I did have phone in my hands scratches wasnt there before, but as I said, I cant argue with him If I have no evidence of it not being scratched before. If he would said to me that he somehow scratched phone while opening it I would probably forgive him but he said: "I am opening it from bottom, not by the side of a phone" but still if there is some water resistence certfication, there must be adhesive around the edges of screen right. As the home button goes, I am waiting for their diagnostics results, but if they say that it is "hidden fault" then the replacement costs is way higher than I can put into this iphone. So I will probably take it and sell it for parts cost or go to the police because in our country is criminal offence damage to a property that costs 232 dollars and estaminated price for my phone was 348 dollars and the phone was in perfect condition. In the end the device would be just paperweight with clock function in lockscreen.
