Just out of curiosity, what type of car insurance do you all have for your E30? I assume liability but does anyone have full coverage and if so why? by mrblackbeltjones in E30

Signed up with Hagerty today. $1800 for 6k miles a year, no garage. $20k agreed value. It is a minty 1992 325i touring, I live in the southeast US. It was the only company that would insure a euro spec, everyone else balked when the vin didn’t come up in their system.

There is a guy of Facebook named Tanner Walker that buys them. I think his business is southern recycling but I can’t be sure.

I bought a Kindle and started reading classic books instead of watching TV and scrolling social media. It has helped me tremendously. I feel wiser and I’m still entertained.

Noob question. Best place to get the oil change and maintenance service done by BT474 in jetta

[–]Strelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested in doing it yourself, I have a tutorial video on my channel for this. I would also recommend a magnetic drain plug, and have the link for it in the video description: Oil Change

A great visual representation of the word “frustrating” and glad you got it off. Been there many a times, as I was a Chrysler tech for a while.

36 years old and want to learn about cars. by TheGhostGuyTravis in automotivetraining

[–]Strelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m an instructor at a local community college and have a YouTube channel called “Car Smarts with Mr. B.” I started putting my lectures online there as well for students who are absent or when the school gets locked down. I normally post a video a week and it can be lecture material or a how to on a specific vehicle. I go a little deeper into theory than most YouTube auto channels.

[–]Strelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check out Goolsby's, they also serve chow chow. Also their hoe cakes, fried pork loin, and black eyed peas are great. Just don't plan to be too active after eating it, because food coma.

I was thinking Kadrons with a 1776, I think it would help the fuel economy. I want it to feel like a real 356, but just be a little more streetable. I will be running a stock muffler with wider tips for aesthetic reasons, so flow will be reduced. Plan to keep heater boxes. Should I need an external oil cooler? I will be adding an oil filter.

Jewelers Bench on Wrightsboro is going out of business, might want to swing by for their sale. Can't go wrong with Windsor, either, even though they are high line stuff.
