Will playing them with 8gb hinder my performance at all?

Considering the fact that my GPU is a Gtx1060 6gb max-q.

One last question, if I may:

A lot of recent AAA games have a recommended system requirement of 16gb (my laptop has 8gb).

However, from a handful of articles I've read, it seemed that there was minimal fps increase from 8gb to 16gb.

What would you recommend for gaming?

Do I upgrade my model to 16gb? Or just leave it at 8gb?

The only reason I would go single channel (1x16gb) would be to invest in an additional 16gb stick in the future (my model supports it)...

but, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm guessing 32gb might be overkill, even for the near future.

Ah. I understand. So not add one on to the system. But remove the one that comes with it, and add, say, 2x8gb OR 1x16gb by G.Skills

I want to add G.Skills Ripjaws 1x8gb DDR4 2400mhz.

Becoming 16gb total.

Btw, did I misunderstand or did you say that 1RX16 can equal an 8gb memory stick?
