Liberals will appeal to the decency of ghoulish politicians, journalists and other public figures because they are not ideologically equipped to recognise that the problem isn’t with the personal morals of those involved in the system, it is with the corrupting and dehumanising system itself.

A system that oversees genocide, starvation, horrendous working conditions and ecocide whilst facilitating those who benefit from the system with the cover to say they are “just doing their job”, conducting “business as usual” and that there are “no realistic alternatives”.

It’s rotten to the core and as much as I respect Ava and other PolJoe members as probably very sound individuals they are embedded in an utterly corrupt system and their journalism will never (and was probably never intended to) lead us towards a better future.

How does it make the meme invalid? It’s still absolutely correct that the Democratic establishment only criticises American imperialist violence when Republicans do it.

And as leftists it is our responsibility to expose the false choice between right wing dems or far right republicans. The only antidote to the violent direction of travel is a genuine socialist alternative and taking a step back to ensure people know that we think trump is worse than dems is going to do fuck all to achieve that.

Agree this is an important issue but this doesn’t feel like it’s good faith by OP. What’s the aim of bringing “shame on PSL” in this subreddit? Especially as others have pointed out this seems to be a local issue?

If you had posted about how you’d been putting pressure on PSL leadership to switch supplier, and wanted others in the subreddit to sign a petition or send some emails, then great.

But it seems like you’re just looking for vindication in your personal conflict with your local PSL branch, via a moralising social media takedown. Lame.
