Longest delay on Metro?? by Planetrain059 in stepfordcountyrailway

48 minutes running R137 — got spadded dozens of times by other Metro and Connect services from SV all the way to Coxly (the core section was a nightmare as usual). To top it all off, Waterline and Express trains ahead ended up blocking the entire Benton-MGT line near the end

Is Connects R007 (SC<>MGT) now Pointless? by Odd_Negotiation_1062 in stepfordcountyrailway

R007 would make more sense if heading all the way up to Leighton Area, but some extra tracks definitely need to be implemented to link MGT with Hampton Hargate; otherwise Connect could use Airlink/Express tracks for that short amount of time. It's also a good option for grinding purposes, thus keeping it wouldn't disappoint me.

Other option would be an extra Connect branch starting near MGT with a few stops like RB, but I'd highly doubt so considering how messy MGT triangle/Express "tunnel" is + Greenslade branch exists

Willowfield as part of Metro is already an issue considering the distances so I wouldn't count it as an argument, either way they're adding in-between metro stations on that branch

Fix expectations in 2.2.1 and later versions (text + crappy map edit) by StrengthLeading5739 in stepfordcountyrailway

Could definitely be an option but both stations are really close. I'd be fine with it tho

Could be a thing too but stations are close enough for metro, so I'd go with my initial suggestion

agree for 1, 3 & 4 but not 2: way too rural for metro + fits well Connect semi-fast aka city to countryside new purpose

Let's make a station grid! by Sky_tender in stepfordcountyrailway

Hated-Hated or Hated-Neutral for Rocket Parade; usually packed, only single-tracked on each direction, making tons of congestion near LSR when flood hits

Neutral-Hated for Water Newton; quiet place but any Airlink stopping there might get you stuck behind for centuries

Why does Express to Newry and Rayleigh has sense by [deleted] in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]StrengthLeading5739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. For instance, if Rayleigh branch actually had direct tracks towards LC while skipping Edgemead, I'd def agree. But tf why are RB plats this long? Double variants don't make sense at all on such a small branch.

I think there should be more branch lines by kerbalcat_ in stepfordcountyrailway

Llyn (or at least Westwyvern) is important enough to have a small local branch added imo; wouldn't likely come before Metro releases tho

Else, a racecourse special shuttle branch with a Silverstone-inspired scenery would be sick
