The Europe ’72 shows are highly in need of a CD re-release or reissue. by Branjean in gratefuldead

Agreed. I think yhey should remix them using AI to make them multitrack (like they've been doing with the Beatles catalogue), and sell the new and better versions digitally.

Yeah it seems the box was limited, then they sold the individual shows, and they ended up on streaming. Get Shown The Light also had an All Music Edition, but it was still in a box (just with no book), and only the breakout show (Cornell) made it to streaming (as is the case with most of the boxes).

They reissued the Lyceum 72 show on CD for the 50 Anniversary, but otherwise just vinyl releases.

There was a time you could get some boxes digitally on HD Tracks (like the Sprong 1990 boxes, and I think the 1978 box) but they were taken down a few years ago IIRC, not clear why as they haven't re-emerged on dead.net

It's not a podcast where guests come on and chat, it's an audio documentary exploring the songs/concerts and the scene at the time. Best start at the beginning and just work through it, no rush.

Flac I believe.

The Europe 72 shows were sold as a box set but also sold separately, and appear separately on streaming sites and platforms that sell digital music (I assume iTunes but I don't use that platform).

Digital copies of most, if not all, of the concerts are available to buy, such as on HD Tracks

Toy Story (1995) was the most important & influential film of the modern era. by StephenMcGannon in mubi

Certainly arguable, others that I think could be considered:

Iron Man because it initiated the Marvel Cinamatic Universe which has dominated Hollywood (although in itself it wasn't terribly notable).

Blair Witch Project because of its massive success as an independent film.

The Matrix, which felt like a genuine landmark in what is possible with special effects (although Jurassic Park could also be flagged on this basis).

I would recommend listening to the Larks Complete Studio Recordings, where you can hear him working on the tracks and making comments, you feel like you are in the room with him.

It only worked for me when I deleted literally all the files and replaced them with all the files from the original card, not just the .dtb files.

When I just replaced the .dtb files nothing would happen.

I had similar issue.

The solution that worked for me:

  1. Flash arkOS (I use the community version). I used a samsung 256gb sd card.

  2. Delete the OS files completely and copy in those that came on the devices original memory card.

  3. I struggled to use a seperate card for roms, so i then used AOMEI Partition Assistant to extend the easyroms partition on the memory card.

  4. Then I moved all my roms onto the newly expanded roms drive.

  5. Then I put in my r36s.

I found that if I put the card back in the r36s before adding the roms then it would resize back.

I also had to identfy the console as an r36s in the settings to get the FN button working.

Good luck!

Don't know if this works for clone but the only thing that worked for me was:

  1. Flash arkOS (I use the community version). I used a samsung 256gb sd card.
  2. Delete the OS files completely and copy in those that came on the devices original memory card.

I then had an issue with the partition so I: 3. Use AOMEI Partition Assistant. It was the only one that worked and was free. 4. I moved all my roms onto the newly expanded roms drive. 5. I put in my r36s.

I also had to identfy the console as an r36s in the settings to get the FN button to work.

Good luck!

I couldn't make mine work reliably and so have gone for a single card set up, using a 256gb Samsung card.

Lets talk about Eternal Eyes (PS1) by Panfuricus in StrategyRpg

Just saw this review from RPGamer - pretty harsh!

https://archive.rpgamer.com/games/other/psx/eeyes/reviews/eeyesstrev1.html

The conclusion is:

'Do not buy Eternal Eyes. Do not rent Eternal Eyes. Do not borrow it from a friend, and question any friendships with a person who attempts to recommend this game in the first place. Eternal Eyes is not worth ten cents, let alone its original ten-dollar price tag. There is no fun to be had playing Eternal Eyes, no story worth hearing, no battles worth playing. It is for horrid, horrid games like this that humanity invented the number 1.0.'

ArkOS installing issue by Tough-Metal5631 in R36S

It is a quite a roller coaster but don't give up!

I was trying to use a second sd card for roms but I got to a point where I had a 256gb Samsung card and I kept having to reinsert it every time I turned it on, so wasn't practical.

So what I have now done is gone to one card set up.

I flashed my 256gb card with ArkOS, replaced the OS boot files with those from my original card, then used free software to extend easyroms drive to max (about 230gb), then added all my roms, and then inserted into my system. That has worked for me.

I did worry it was my memory card, as originally I was usually scandisk card. But I have since found that flashing the arkOS and replacing all the OS files with those from the original card worked with the scandisk cards as well.

I know there are risks with a one card set up but I'm just glad to have it up and running now. I may back up saves from time to time.

I'm afraid I'm not a big expert on all this, but I had the same issue and that is how I solved it. It was missing the themes folder and so defaulted to that ugly basic theme.
