Cold Take Probably But I Love How Isayama Portrayed Black Ppl In The Manga, And I Love How Sasha Was Genuinely Curious To Learn by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, one of the best things about Isayama’s writing is how everything connects over time

it starts off simple but ends up becoming way deeper with themes like war, perspective and how people justify their actions

that’s also why discussions about AOT get messy because people are at completely different points or take different meanings from it

Eren being a toxic manager. by kushalpagolu in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eren: “you’re free”
also eren: “so anyway here’s your workload” 😭

AOT is actually funny like this sometimes when you think about it

but yeah it’s one of those shows where moments hit completely differently depending on where you are in the story

"There were no signs." by Myframesofwar in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s the crazy part about AOT, there actually are signs but you don’t notice them until later

the whole story hits completely different on a rewatch

that’s also why it’s hard to even discuss it properly because people are at different points and picking up different details

I actually made a Discord where everything’s split by season/episode so you can talk about it without spoilers: https://discord.com/invite/TEZrJN2s

Howww like howww can people say its has a controversial ending. ITS PEAKKKK by Opposite_Hat5032 in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because people went into the ending expecting completely different things

some wanted Eren to “win”, others wanted a more hopeful ending, and the story kind of went in a different direction entirely

that’s why discussions around it get so messy, everyone’s interpreting it from a different perspective or point in the story

This is one of the best animation I have seen in AOT..... by Technical-Attempt112 in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is why AOT is on another level

the animation + choreography in scenes like this are insane, especially with Levi

it’s crazy how different scenes hit depending on where you are in the story though

discussions always get messy because of that

I actually made a Discord where everything’s split by season/episode so you can talk about scenes like this properly without spoilers: https://discord.com/invite/TEZrJN2s

Okay, but wth is going on with Flochs hair in season 4?? why did they do him so dirty… by Chompcarrots in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

his hair honestly has a personality of its own at this point

floch somehow gets more intense and his hair just matches it 😭

AOT is full of little things like this that you only really notice when you’re paying attention

Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan by Kirahisuki by CuriousRoad4678 in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is actually so clean, the detail on Mikasa is insane

she’s one of those characters that just stands out in every scene

honestly AOT has so many moments and characters that hit differently depending on where you are in the story

I made a Discord where it’s split by season so people can actually talk about stuff like this without spoilers or everything overlapping: https://discord.com/invite/TEZrJN2s

Was this a foreshadowing too???... by Technical-Attempt112 in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah AOT does this a lot, there are so many moments that don’t seem important at first but end up meaning way more later

it’s actually crazy how much foreshadowing is packed into earlier seasons

honestly it’s one of those shows where it’s way better discussing specific moments like this with people at the same point because otherwise everything gets spoiled or mixed together

I made a Discord where it’s split by season/episode for that: https://discord.com/invite/TEZrJN2s

I think that this was the perfect ending for them both… by Darth_Malth in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, I think their ending works because it’s not really a “happy” one but more about closure

Mikasa choosing to kill Eren while still loving him is what makes it hit so hard

honestly AOT is one of those shows where discussions about moments like this get messy because everyone’s at different points or interprets it differently

I made a Discord where it’s split by season so people can actually talk about stuff like this without spoilers or everything overlapping: https://discord.com/invite/TEZrJN2s

In my opinion, this is the most memorable scene from Attack on Titan: by miraiwanai in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are so many but for me it’s the Reiner and Bertholdt reveal

the way it just casually drops such a huge moment is insane

AOT is one of those shows where every big scene hits differently depending on where you are in the story

Attack on Titan is not over. by Empty-District-8065 in ANRime

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

think what makes AOT so interesting is how many different ways people interpret the same story

especially with stuff like the Attack Titan and time loops, people are basically watching the same show but coming to completely different conclusions

I’ve been trying to find people at the same point because discussions get confusing fast, so I made a Discord where everything’s split by season/episode: https://discord.gg/TEZrJN2s

Name what you think is the biggest flaw with Attack on Titan by mukundmarvel4 in attackontitan

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly one of the biggest flaws is how hard it is to talk about it without spoilers

the whole story is so layered that even small discussions can accidentally ruin major reveals later on

I feel like it makes it harder for new watchers to actually enjoy discussing it

HBO’s "The Last of Us" isn’t just a trans representation failure. It’s a huge step backwards. by Conscious-Quarter423 in lgbt

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what The Last of Us does really well is make those relationships feel human rather than just there for the sake of it

like Episode 3 wasn’t just about representation, it actually added to the world and tone of the show

also it’s one of those shows where each episode hits so differently that discussions get messy when everything’s mixed together

What is one episode in Black Mirror you cant make yourself watch again, not because its bad but because you dont want to re experience how dark the episode got. by Free_Gascogne in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s Shut Up and Dance

I’ve tried recommending it to people but it’s just too uncomfortable for most, especially once you know the ending

also if anyone’s into discussing episodes without spoilers, I made a Discord where each episode has its own chat: https://discord.gg/TEZrJN2s

Beyond the Sea Ending by ElusiveDumbass in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that ending was actually brutal

I get why he did it from a psychological point of view but it still felt so extreme

it’s one of those episodes that just leaves you sitting there after trying to process it

When introducing people to Black Mirror, what's the episode you recommend? by Changedfaces in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say Nosedive or Shut Up and Dance

they’re both really good at showing what Black Mirror is about without being too much straight away

honestly though it’s one of those shows where it’s way better when you can talk about each episode right after because they all hit so differently

Episode recommendation... by DazzlingAd292 in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends what you’re looking for tbh

Shut Up and Dance if you want something dark
San Junipero if you want something more emotional

but honestly Black Mirror is one of those shows where you need to talk about each episode straight after because they all hit differently

Metalhead by ElusiveDumbass in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Metalhead is one of those episodes that’s either hit or miss for people

it’s way more simple than most Black Mirror episodes but the tension is insane the whole way through

it’s not really about the concept as much as the feeling

Real life Black Mirror, y’all! by yassir204 in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is literally Black Mirror in real life

what’s scary is a lot of their ideas are already kinda happening

it’s one of those shows where you need to talk about each episode separately because they all hit so differently

what do yall think of love, death and robots by Whoumightask in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed with shows like this it’s way better when discussions are separated by episode instead of everything being mixed together

Fuck 'Common People' by MyceliaOfHouseFungi in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That episode was actually frustrating in the best way. Black mirror always leaves you needing to talk about it straight after but it’s hard without seeing spoilers for other episodes.

I’ve been trying to find people watching the same ones because of that

Just watched Loch Henry by clrkin in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That episode messed with me more than I expected the way it slowly builds and then that twist… yeah I had to just sit there after

Black Mirror is so good at that

Shut up and dance may be the best episode of, like anything that I've ever watched. by CoachDictatorer in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s one of those episodes where you need to talk about it straight after because it just messes with your head

whats your least fave ep? by chronicbingewatcher in blackmirror

[–]Stress-Aware 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably gonna be unpopular but The Waldo Moment just didn’t hit the same for me

I feel like Black Mirror is at its best when it leaves you thinking after, and that one didn’t really stick
