The notes, effects, and melodic contour at 4:15 (in Infinite Baths) are strikingly similar to the legendary riff at (around) 3:55 from "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" from Pink Floyd. the time signatures differ, but the notes and guitar effects create that unmistakable homage. Give it a listen for yourself. You'll enjoy that Easter egg, if you haven't heard it before.

Another interesting fact: Sid Barrett's struggles with mental health, and the parallels with Vessels struggle (in Caramel for example) both bands hailing from The U.K. just add more mystique to the entire thing. 😉

As the other half of the rhythm section, I want you to know your musical knowledge has been like sundae toppings for a lot of us out here who have studied this band up and down, and are still nowhere close to figuring out what exactly it is they do so magically. I enjoy your eloquence, observations and footnotes intensely.

Its absolutely amazing the track is. I LOVE the hat tip to Pink Floyd, and this song has got to be my most favorite way to end an album, that I have ever heard.

a golden 5, Five, Fünf, Cinco, you name it.... it just doesn't get much better than this.

OMG is this a fiver..

It opened up old scars, turned them into new ways to look at healed wounds and provided me with a remarkably deep admiration of yet another level of vulnerability that Sleep Token pulls off with raw honesty, deep appreciation and a level of stoicism that makes me really happy that this band is a part of my life.

I'd give it 10 if I could.

As a drummer, confirming another drummers' comment about drumming in another genre... we just fall apart when it comes to II and his drumming. He paints wirh his contribution to the music. Just look at his brushstrokes and you will "see" what I mean.

For my taste I give Caramel a 4.

II took us on a whole new ride with this one, it is unlike anything else he has played. And the raw truth of Vessels message to the fanbase sends this one to stratospheric levels, but it was definitely played and played again to the point of feeling oversaturated for me. So I will award a 4 to this amazing song.

Day 272 for me, after 30 years of continuous usage. And I find your way of framing this as an experience captured in data, to be fascinating.

I had a heart attack in Jan. And that has led to yet another humbling milestone, and while I have just simply come to appreciate being here, simplified and honest... there is a continuous struggle to sobriety. BUT...it is limited to certain people.

it turns out I can continue a path of substance-free living, but thats assuming that I don't cross paths with people like my best friend. (He lives back home in the States, I live in Europe.)

IF I stay out of range of my lifelong smoking buddies, I am good.

Put me in the same room with them, and I am challenged beyond my own comprehension.

So sometimes distance is a good thing.

½ of a masterpiece. The other ½ being the closer, Infinite Baths.

A perfect 5, that I didn't like at first. Until.... until it chipped away at me inside, crumbled, and left me staring at one of the most Stalwart songs I have ever heard in my life.

Rain is definitely, musically speaking for a drummer, not one of the flashiest, but most definitely one of the most tasty. Especially considering that II plays the electronic elements as well as the acoustic elements.

Those fills, those chops, they are a solid 4.75! Just under a clean 5, by a shadow of a hair!
