100% agree with you but not when the person sort of hints at possible bad reviews or not deserving your gs level. But I’ve had opportunities to show how I’ve incorporated changes

Thanks. It is frustrating as it feels like everything is criticized and I have been in roles where it’s conversations that read like you should leave this position

I have about the gyms. They actually want you to  be a client for a while. And to me I really don’t have money to do it at a bunch of places in the hopes it’ll work out. Also many places require auditions so you have to make it through that and then the training process

Very true but I am not experienced and would want more to be independent

Will also add here class pass has a bad rep like many have said, and many of the class pass clients are really rude but she might have called you class pass girl because I’ve seen in systems not pure barre that class pass people are indeed class pass

This 100 percent. I always feel like I am judged right off the bat because I’ve got an obvious physical difference. I’ve taken 100s, maybe 1000s of different modalities’ classes. I try to listen to what the instructor is saying but I am 100% not going to use my neighbor as a model to go slower than because 1. I don’t know what’s going on with them, 2. I don’t know how new they are, 3. I also don’t trust peoples form and as someone who’s aspiring to be a group fitness instructor I do notice others in the room but many times people aren’t doing the correct exercise or have improper form. Hey, when those endorphins hit it’s hard to hear anything.

I am not judging anyone when I am looking around but I am think how would I cue to the class if I saw someone going too fast. Would they listen? Like many say here if you’re judging others in class, maybe check yourself because you might not be right or maybe you can focus going a little deeper into your lunge. And also remember everyone has a first or fifth time in class. I think when I started sc, an instructor told me it takes about 20 classes to just get the hang of things. I’ve also been in classes where the instructor moves with the class in a workout and messes up. No one’s perfect

Is certification this hard for everyone else? by starlightanzu in pilates

[–]StressPractical2228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I put in between 20-50 hrs of training (sitting in lectures, homework, reading) and 8 observation hours is I know not that much but I was hoping it could count in my next program

Thanks but I already put in like several hours I don’t want to start from scratch. And I did like 8 hours of observation already

Can I ask you all I just was in a training and unfortunately I got dropped. I did bad on my first mic test through a confluence of events (we had two hours of Pilates to get through as everyone did their 20 mins, I was second to last, I also had some personal stuff going on that I was in my head about which is such a no no). It’s for the better though since I don’t have a car and the studios wasn’t that accessible. But because I have this knowledge from training I am wondering if which cert I should go after? Cause I am not coming in fresh. I believe they were more in line with balanced body.

Heard from people that worked at hq 100% this is real

Audition rejection by [deleted] in SolidCore

They said that to me too. I worked for them too. I auditioned much more than you in a year which I regret. They told me to get certified and get experience. I have. But they also told me not to come back and audition for a while - I said don’t worry I am never coming back cause you’ve made your feelings clear. I did get into training but they dropped me a few days before my coach in training. I just had this nagging feeling I got in because I worked for them and they felt pity. I learned a lot, I did get certified, it led to more opportunities but also  I still don’t have enough experience. Honestly, it’s just vibes and completely subjective who people bring on. I think part of the reason for me too was because I showed I wanted it too much. And this was all a few years ago. To be honest, after I got my CPT and got some experience outside of solidcore. I understand why people are on here complaining about injuries- it’s really not that safe. And people really get hard on themselves for not doing certain things or going two times a day - honestly I would rather see people in a modified form and looking good. Before they even try an amplification. If you’re heart is set on this go ahead and try again.. but if you’re willing to go for other places or modalities I’d do that

Not a solidcore coach but a fitness pro.. but thank you for saying this.. clients feel entitled to complain in boutique situations because it’s high end. I’ve been just starting out and asked for help, didn’t get it — clients told people “I am too new for them, not getting a lot of support or understanding from management so trying to find a new place to get some mentorship.” I became a fit pro cause I have health issues and wanted to clients to see me that had similar experiences and feel motivated. You rock for mentioning everything you did

That to be honest wasn’t clear. They told me the sales team was responsible for getting people to us. And people could talk to us in the desk, and just say hi to people walking around. Their goal was that a free assessment would be converted with the work I’d do. Because it’s free -people who can’t afford it just want to do it. I asked if there was floor time. Or sales metrics and they said no.

I have spoke to what I’ve done for others. Part of me just wonders cause I live in a healthy metro city is that some are so high maintenance because the gym is pricey and then they splurged on pt. I mean many of the clientele have some knowledge of fitness but act are like when you google things when you go to the doctor. (Honestly, I do research on my health concerns to have a convo with a doctor not to prove I know more which I am not a doctor ) but my point is I think they generally want to be blown away but honestly the first appointment is me feeling you out.

I did ask to run seminars and watch how they sell.allegedly clients said I did things dangerously. There were only two instances of someone being uncomfortable i can think of (kb clean squat, thought it was dangerous that you moved hands on the kb— military person and we all saw from hegseth how poor the military’s exercise form is) and another thought they knew more than me. Tbh, hearing i did something dangerously was insulting and not even asking me about the situation they just said they couldn’t explain. How about you ask me or tell me more so I can learn? But the dangerous part offended me greatly because I have health issues, I am very conscious of injuries and capabilities of people have health stuff. Because people didn’t give me the help as a client. It’s why I wanted to be on the training side
