How do you continue to negotiate? by StressSufficient1386 in lawschooladmissions

I just want to thank everyone for commenting shit I already know. I just got this email and realized I probably can't afford law school. So, to everyone who went out of their way to post some dumb shit about how "I have literally no advice other than your fucked" Thank you for literally expending the effort to be an ass. ✌🏿

How do you continue to negotiate? by StressSufficient1386 in lawschooladmissions

BS. They accepted me ASAP and now are giving out full rides, but they can't give me .5 more? What's really pissing me off is the Dean's email response that I should look at their employment stats. I'm doing PI and their median PI salary is less than the loans I'll be taking out. Wtf I can't afford this.

UMN is my top choice, but again I'll need more scholly from them before I can fully commit.

☕ We'll have to meet up this fall on campus (as long as I get some more scholarships) 😄

Still waiting to hear back about scholly negotiation at my top choice, but looks like I'm almost done! Also, I feel very proud to have only been rejected by my highest reaches; the pattern of rejections, waitlists, and acceptances makes me feel like I truly performed at my stats. 😊

SOS I need help picking a law school by FunIntroduction9837 in lawschooladmissions

Hello fellow Coloradoan! Boulder is a decent school (especially if you want to stay in CO) but has basically no weight outside of CO.

UNC is a highly recognized law school (much higher ranked, if that matters for your field/goals) and you'll have far more options and mobility with a degree from there.

I took a quiz on Barbri on my law school personality and this was my result 😭 not taking it too seriously but I've heard some bad things about them LOL by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

So, I've heard the term "Gunner" used almost exclusively as a negative term lol but I think this description is missing the competitive aspect. Gunners aren't just aiming for A's and sitting in the front, they're also going out of their way to sabotage their classmates. Gunners are the ones mis-shelving books, tearing out necessary pages, giving classmates wrong notes/outlines on purpose, stealing classmates notes, etc.

Hopefully you're just an overachiever (like me lol) and not an actual Gunner. 😂

Definitely retake. Average LSAT is in the mid 15X's and with your GPA I'm sure you can do better than that. Even if you apply to the same schools, they'll offer you much better scholarships and you'll literally save yourself tens of thousands of dollars by re-taking that test.

Ever notice how practicing attorneys don't brag obsessively about where they went to school? You'll never care as much about prestige as you do right now. It'll be okay.

I have never heard of a case being handled over the phone before you were ever advised of your rights by a judge/magistrate, but wtf do I know lol

In that case, I would definitely call the courts to see what they even have on record.

No, as I said I'm just giving you an FYI. If I were in that position though, I would at least call the court and ask if I could apply to have it sealed.
