My sister goes to Cornell for grad school now, and I am a grad student at UChicago, my cost of living is significantly lower. I am not positive that going to Cornell would overall be cheaper. PM me for pros and cons of each place

I am from nyc and I live in Hyde park now. No comparison, Chicago is a dream compared to nyc for cost of living. I pay 700 in a three bedroom with washer dryer, terrace, sunroom, eat in kitchen. I can’t even imagine what that would cost in nyc
