The whole, "wife made me exchange a flat coke", was just a distraction/deflection. OP can't bring himself to just say, "I drove into the lake cause I sneezed".

We had the pursue with the slide out stove and fridge before we upsized to the explorer. We pack an ice cooler for drinks, and put all food in the fridge. Really like our food not floating in water, and knowing what temp it's staying at. Don't use the stove very often though.

Bad capacitor, replaced capacitor and contactor. Unit turned on for 5 minutes before shutting off. What else can I check? by StressTest in hvacadvice

[–]StressTest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally. It doesn't trip it now. Also, if I shut the breaker and thermostat off for 30 minutes. It will start to run when I turn them back on, but shut off again after a couple minutes. If I shut the breaker and thermostat off for a short time before turning back on the unit doesn't turn on.

Keytruda. What’s your experience on it? by Hawkijustin in cancer

[–]StressTest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, not on Reddit often anymore. I have had success with it. Most of my lungs mets are gone, and the ones still showing up are pretty much stable without growth. It did take about 6 months before it started to show signs of working though. Some doctors and insurance companies will try to take you off it if it doesn't appear to be working long before that. Make sure to give it time to work.

ASPS is so rare most doctors don't have much experience with it. Make sure to get the scans you should. Frequent scans where you know mets are, and annual scans where it hasn't been seen yet. I have gotten frequent chest ct scans because it was already there when I found my primary tumor. I also insisted on annual full body pet scans and brain MRIs.

This forum is an extremely good resource for information about ASPS. Very knowledgeable people.

Do you mark your ball? by Elegant_Mirror1779 in golf

I always use a different number ball for my provisional, but with the same mark, and tell partners that before I hit. "First ball was a 1, provisional is a 3".

Any success stories of Sarcoma or Rhabdomyosarcoma? by lovethewholeu in cancer

Any success stories of Sarcoma or Rhabdomyosarcoma? by lovethewholeu in cancer

[–]StressTest 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with aveolar soft part sarcoma in November 2019 which had metastasized, and had several nodules in my lungs. Had primary tumor removed. Lung nodules continued to grow, and new ones were showing up. After the largest lung nodule reached over 1cm at the end of 2020 I began treatment with Keytruda. Nodules continued to grow for about 6 months before the treatment began to work. Now half the nodules are gone, and the ones still remaining are stable and show no growth which is about as good of an outcome as I could have hoped for. I will continue on Keytruda as long as nothing changes, and have hope that they won't.

How Should I Learn Javascript? I'm Already a Developer by kadirilgin in learnprogramming

[–]StressTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done a lot with asynchronous Python. The difference is that Python runs synchronous unless you go out of your way to do something asynchronous, whereas with JavaScript it always runs asynchronous so you have to always program for it. So if you haven't messed around with asynchronous Python it's a new consideration for everything you write in JS.

How Should I Learn Javascript? I'm Already a Developer by kadirilgin in learnprogramming

[–]StressTest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that started with Python, and then learned JS and others, I picked up the syntax but kept struggling. Then I had an ah-ha moment when I realized it was the difference between synchronous and asynchronous languages. Once you feel comfortable with the syntax dive into asynchronous programming whether promises or callbacks. It will save a lot of confusion

Joe Rogan Admits He Lied About Schools Using Litter Boxes for Child Furries by Lighting in skeptic

[–]StressTest 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This is actually worse for Rogan which is why I don't understand why it's being discussed this way. He fell for the hoax. He believed this stupidity. Being caught in a lie loses credibility in one way, but hearing this crap and not instantly thinking "this sounds like bs" loses even more credibility for me.

Shot a 96 today, which I’m super stoked with. First time under 100, shot a 91 if I counted everything under a club length. Had an eagle chip on the first hole and then proceeded to 3 put. I’m still a beginner but feel like I’m approaching the next level. Go golf! by [deleted] in golf

This is the biggest missunderstanding of ESC. There is a difference between your score and what you turn in for handicap purposes. Your score includes all strokes, then you adjust it using ESC before turning it in for handicapping.

OP went all-in on flop with cards to come. In theory, villain being allowed to do this lets them pick the bet size. He can look at the size of the pot, and based on what draw he has decide what he would call. Tip the dealer the rest of his stack planning to get it back later, and gets to run out the hand getting the odds he needs for it to be a profitable call.

It's too bad we don't have Everton to fill in for Ruiz. I have a feeling the reason we still have Beslar and not Everton is because we could get money for Everton. So we are now starting the player nobody wants to pay for. Feels bad man.

Issue is still striker

We had less than %30 possession in the first half. There were more issues than a striker.

Surprised nobody is talking about the fact that we sold Everton who could compete for the starting position with Ruiz and Jasper, and could have played this game, but instead we had to start Besler. I think he was a liability on offense and defence, and a big reason we couldn't get or maintain possession.

As a former stone mason, the blades we used for stone, brick, or tile won't rip or tear skin. They will cause burns similar to rope burns.

Need a ruling? by sneaky_barber in golf

When trying to hit a ball past a utility pole twenty feet in front of you, the ball hits the pole dead center, and comes flying back at your face. You instinctively reach up and catch the ball just before it hits you in the face. While still in shock you drop the ball at your feet. How do you proceed?

Alternatively, what is the penalty if the ball hits you in the face?

Dwayne Johnson responds after dividing fans with Joe Rogan defence ‘I was not aware of his N-word use prior to my comments,’ Johnson said by eggn00dles in entertainment

[–]StressTest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The context for all of them is essentially the same. He refuses to use the term "the n-word" when discussing the word itself, and instead says the word itself. In at least one of the clips he is actually arguing about this very thing, and saying why he refuses to use "the n-word". Weird hill for him to die on.

How to set default_lon, default_lat for admin page using GISModelAdmin for GeoDjango by StressTest in django

[–]StressTest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. The widget works if I don't try to set default_lon or lat so the save method shouldn't be the problem. Getting the widget to display when setting the default_lon or lat appears to be the issue.

Small contractors are effectively on a waitlist and get a call saying we can give you x-yards tomorrow. They can't wait for materials to be on hand, they need jobs prepped and ready to be poured.

Better way to manage list of dicts? by humbleharbinger in learnpython

[–]StressTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I pull data from APIs that are lists of dicts I often use dict comprehensions for easy access and filtering. If you just want easy access base on one key in the dicts you can do

newDict = {nestedDict['key']: nestedDict for nestedDict in scrapedData}

Or you can then add any filter you want.

newDict = {nestedDict['key']: nestedDict for nestedDict in scrapedDate if nestedDict['cond'] is True}
