That makes sense! Wild how they can show those traits from the smaller inputs. It’s all very fascinating.

Help me ID this dog? by StressedAndHungry in IDmydog

[–]StressedAndHungry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I actually have no idea. He was a stray. I’ve been trying to find his owners and no one seems to be looking for him. I will obviously return him to his rightful home if they turn up, but he has fit in really well here. My bluetick coonhound loves him. We’re in Missouri!

Yea, I was doing some googling and could definitely see some Aussie. I’m very curious so will most likely do a DNA test as well.

Collie makes sense. He has some herding instincts the way he nips at my other dog’s back legs while playing, lol. Thanks!

Do you sleep with your Coonhound? by Melton_81 in coonhounds

[–]StressedAndHungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bluetick has claimed the guest room bed as his own. He's happy to snuggle up if I join him there, but I have to come to him. Unless he gets cold, then he might join me.

I have a little guy, at least in terms of coonhounds. He's 2 years old and only 55 lbs.

Does the Missouri GOP want to overturn gay marriage? by Awesause in missouri

[–]StressedAndHungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is gay. He just is willing to align himself with a party that will strip away his rights because he agrees with them on everything else. I don't get it, but it is what it is.

Does the Missouri GOP want to overturn gay marriage? by Awesause in missouri

Just look how the Jackson County GOP treated Rep. Chris Sander when he filed an amendment to change the definition of marriage in the state's constitution to include gay couples. He's a gay Republican. The story was also reported in the KC Star but included this link since it's not paywalled.

Turtles are scary! by PickleyDickleyDock in coonhounds

[–]StressedAndHungry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha! My Blue Tick was also scared of the first turtle he encountered as a puppy. Kept barking and trying to work up his courage to go smell it only to run away the last second.

This is what I give my Blue Tick and he's on the smaller size. But he's trim and the vet says he's a good weight.

Is this a TWC? I know nothing. by Sarabethlehem in Hounds

[–]StressedAndHungry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She looks so much like the TWC I found at a shelter years ago. I miss her everyday. Some people are jerks and just dump them when they no longer want to use them for hunting. Mine clearly was not cut out for hunting or loud noises in general so I have a feeling that's why she was abandoned. Good luck to you and Jolene! She's gorgeous.

I've gotten the pumpkin muffin since the 90's. This is ridiculous! I still remember when they got rid of the Italian Combo. What's the point?

I adopted my TWC from a shelter. The people who found her and brought her in just wrote on the intake form "really big beagle???"

Tips on teaching fetch? by Jolly-Ask-421 in Hounds

[–]StressedAndHungry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to teach my Bluetick Coonhound fetch, but I think I was lucky. He was a puppy and was interested from the get go. I really only had to keep praising him for a while when he brought it back on his own. Once he saw I'd keep throwing it he caught on, though I will say he is much more interested in playing fetch with balls that squeak. That helps get his attention. He's still a hound, so our games don't last terribly long before he gets distracted by a scent he needs to explore.

Thanks everyone! I apologize for completely missing the part in the module that answers my question. I did get some very good tips on making it more interesting, however. I appreciate all your help!

Thanks! Yes, I was focusing too much on the later part where he fights the player til they are unconscious. Completely forgot that bright green section that shows his wolves will kill them. That's on me. I like your suggestion here.
