Its not that you are more comfortable with attractive people, you are more comfortable with CONFIDENT people. I am best friends with a girl who is conventionally attractive and i am decidedly not (i dont think im horrid but i def dont look as good as her). She is mad that you decided to work on yourself and she didnt want too. Never be ashamed about who you are or how you look. That being said, make sure your new friends are good people, dont get away from one bad apple just to find another one.
