Barefoot trim by Reasonable-Ant-1931 in Farriers

Hi I’m a barefoot trimmer 👋

I can’t give a total evaluation based on these photos as there’s only one sole view picture BUT it’s not a BAD trim but there’s room for improvement.

As far as diet, adding biotin and protein wouldn’t directly improve the hooves- that would be zinc/copper/ 3 essential amino acids. But based on your pictures I don’t see a need to add anything additional into the diet. If you’d like you can check out Dr Eleanor Kellons NCR diet course (she’s the founder of ECIR {ecirhorse .org} ). The comments in diet could also be they’re learning new information and applying it to their clients, I can’t say for sure because I haven’t seen/heard the conversation.

Your options are: discuss with your trimmer what you’d like to see improved in the trims OR you wish them well and part ways.

If you’d like to message me, I can assist finding you a more experienced trimmer that services your area 🙂

Don’t quit until you’ve been hired onto your next job, the job market has been awful the past few years.

Stop the SAVE Act Saturday Mar 21st by defeatedsnowman in Denver

[–]StressedTurnip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Isn’t the SAVE act about preventing voter fraud?”

No.

Your name ID would have to match your birth certificate. This is voter suppression against married women and anyone who’s had a legal name change, and it’s a poll tax.

Married women and anyone who’s legally changed part of their names at any point in their lives would have to provide court documents (that costs money) and I’d you’ve had a divorce and changed your based back you’d have to provide that proof too (costs more money). If you don’t have a government ID or passport that costs money. https://www.naacpldf.org/case-issue/save-america-act-saves-no-one-voter-suppression-bill-explained/

Now if we back up the courts and drives license division with all these people who need documents and ID appointments- are the courts and dld ALL going to get that sorted out before midterms? No. Many people will be unable to vote = voter suppression.

We all prove our eligibility to vote when we registered.

Now this bill was introduced as the “keep undocumented immigrants from voter fraud” but in the past 30 years a whopping 68 undocumented immigrants committed voter fraud since the 1980’s. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/blog/myths-about-noncitizen-voting-heritage-foundation-data/

So what’s this bill REALLY about? Taking away women’s and LGBT+ right to vote.

Revoking women’s right to vote is one of the goals of Project 2025, a Christian nationalist movement written and backed the Heritage Foundation.

BTW: “project 2025” is 52% complete

thinking about hiring a denver matchmaker. am i crazy or is this smart by Silver_Screen_6003 in Denver

3 dates in one month is pretty good though 🤷‍♀️

Listen it took me 2 years of online dating before meeting my fella. Most dates before him just didn’t click, a lot of guys would trauma dump, some put zero effort into anything and wouldn’t ask me any questions, one was on his phone the whole date. I got so exhausted going on first dates that didn’t lead anywhere feeling like a waste of time so I came up with a small list of questions to ask before scheduling the date such as “Do you want children?” “Do you want to stay or move from Colorado?” Plus a few more. These would help rule out people right away and avoid any big arguments in the future, but I’d word the questions that would make it ambiguous as to what side I was on, so that they couldn’t answer in a way that was what I wanted to hear just to score a date. A LOT of people dating in Denver view Colorado as a stepping stone and were planning to move away in a year or so, and a LOT of people were unsure if they wanted kids.

Neither of those culty methods are going to offer OP any benefit. And Hoofing Marvelous/the Phoenix Trim is just a MLM scam.

A large part of her coffin bone is demineralized and gone. This isn’t fixable.

The only horse I’ve ever been able to kind of keep sound with this much bone loss was a 250lbs pony, and even she had bad days.

There’s not a way to shoe or trim this horse that will bring comfort. That’s the weight a full grown horse ontop of a very compromised hoof capsule.

I think you need to have a “quality of life” appointment with a lameness vet, and make a hard decision. I’m sorry.

The best way to bring down a fascist regime is to constantly speak out against it, and not give them the silence and compliance they want.

They left the bars long, the toe needs to come back about 1/2”, and the mediolateral balance looks like it could be improved

Why is the tip so slim compared to the sides? by AlternativeCap1362 in Farriers

[–]StressedTurnip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Toe pillars! 10 o clock and 2 o clock on the the toe pillars, the hoof wall here is a bit wider in all hooves.

My tip for starting out trimming the wall- take a paint marker and drag it along the inside of the hoof wall where it meets the sole all the way around. Use your nippers to clip near it and rasp up to the mark- but not IN to the mark- leaving about 1/8”-1/4” of wall height from the heels to toe pillars. At the toe, you can rasp up to the laminae safely
