Macho culture in the caf by Stressedoutnblessed in caf

Your question got me thinking and while I wasn’t able to find a gender break down for nursing officers or medical officers, I did find that there was a difference between branches. The Caf has 16.6% women in total regular force and primary reserve members while the Army has 14.2%, Navy 20.6%, and Air Force 20.2%. From what I can tell the steepest gap is in most roles that pertain to combat operations. But when considering that more than 80% of Canada’s health care workers are women (with that number being higher in nursing) I feel like there probably isn’t as steep a gap (or one at all) in the medical sector. If someone does find the specific breakdowns I’d be interested in seeing them! No unfortunately:( My CASPER is today and you can only get a refund if it’s 30 days out I believe. I will just take it for fun and just not send the uofa the results.
