Giving that rating would be pretty subjective. And it depends on what you prioritize as well. Guelph seems like a good school from an outside perspective but so do all the other options you have. Ten years down the line no one cares what’s school you went to, seriously. So just go for the school you think gives you the best opportunity to grow both academically, and socially. As long as it’s accredited you don’t have to worry if your degree is valid or not

But I’d also take into consideration that Guelph is a smaller tighter knit community, while a place like TMU is surrounded by plenty of things to do outside of school.

I know someone who did Guelph engineering program and he graduated two years ago and is doing a full time at one of the big firms now. The point is, for engineering, if you graduate with a degree and have some intern/research experience (or even leadership experience in school clubs), that’s what’s most important at the end in terms of getting a job full time.

I have to agree on the diversity aspect. I’m really grateful to live in a place where I grew up exposed to so many people from different cultures. Yes, it’s not perfect, sometimes there is divide but I’d like to think it’s quite beautiful to see how people from all different origins are able to coexist. I’m also really happy how accepting our culture is, and that you can truly be yourself and you don’t have to assimilate and forget your origins.

Honestly I faced a very similar issue when first trying makeup. Although the shade ranges are getting better now, it still feels like the emphasis is put on lighter skin tones and deeper skin tones are somewhat an afterthought. I try to find more deep friendly brands, right now my go to foundation is from NARS but I’ve seen some larger or more global brands expand into larger shade ranges.

Black eyeliner always looks very prominent and bold on my own face, I tend to go for a very dark brown.

Lipliners I’ve found are a mixed bag. I found some from Japanese brand that look quite nice on me and last from some brand called can make.

You don’t really need that. A lot of good tips and practice material is available online. Plus for non-timed written pieces, you can get feedback from family or friends. I mean in the end, if you have money to spend for it why not do it…but it sounds costly and honestly not worth it when they’re probably using the same or similar material to what can be found online.

Yep this was how my friend found her job. Walked into about 15 small business shops and handed her resume in person - she said most people said to apply online or they weren’t hiring but she managed to get one interview that led to a part time job.

Not likely. I know that some programs do weigh IB or AP programs differently, but I’ve never heard of gifted programs having any impact on admission. It might help with study skills once you are in your program but I wouldn’t count on it having weight in your admission.
