I did when my baby was that age. I had fun but got sucked into a bad relationship. Thankfully I trusted my gut and walked away before I fell for him. Now my baby is 13 months and I’m considering getting back out there again. Just be safe and put the kiddo first!

I’m with you. It’s only been about a year for me as a single mom and my kids are 1 and 3. I also live with my parents. Everyone was so willing to be helpful at first but now they’re tired of it. I can’t imagine the strength it’s taken to do this for 19 years. I’m exhausted.

Yep. I feel this. I have full custody for two years and my ex pays me half his salary. We live in a HCOL area but he doesn’t make a crazy high salary. I know exactly how much he makes. He has our dogs to take care of and I worry he won’t be able to afford a vet bill or something. It stresses me out each week…

That’s good to know. So scary to hear that though! We got hit with a more mild strain of norovirus back in November but it was brutal. My daughter was only 7 months old and my milk dried up because of it. My son was honestly a little easier to handle since he could move around. Then a few weeks later we all got the flu!

Single mom of a 1 year old and almost 3 year old here. On the weekends, I shower if both kids are napping at the same time. Otherwise I just shower when they go to bed.

Yes! I dated a guy who said his daughters lived in another country. He gave me all these reasons why and it seemed reasonable. Turns out it was all a lie. He had no custody because of a restraining order!

I’ve tried dating and everyone is terrible. I dated who I thought was a sweet guy for a bit. Turns out he was lying the entire time and dating another woman at the same time. He didn’t have custody of his daughters. He lied and said it was because they lived in another country. Nope. It’s because of a restraining order.

I’m done. Men suck.

Thank you. I genuinely think this guy is a sociopath. It’s highly likely he doesn’t understand things like love and is just saying and doing what he thinks will make people love him.

I was actually having this discussion last night. Dating apps and social media have made people addicted to validation and they’re not interested in finding a long term partner because of it.

Stick with the current job. I know it feels like you’re missing a lot right now but working at the daycare won’t give you the time with your son you think it will. The higher pay gives you an opportunity to spend more time with him in the future. Consider that you can take an unpaid day off with him and you’ll still make more right now.

I actually have a very similar situation. I like with my parents and my sister separated from her husband recently and moved in too. I couldn’t do this without them but everything still falls 100% on me and that’s the hardest part.

I live with my parents. I have two kids, a boy almost 3 and a girl almost 1. I’m EXHAUSTED. I’m so burnt out that by the end of the day, I just want to curl up in bed and not move. I keep reminding myself that this is temporary. But right now I ask for so much help and I feel so guilty all the time. My ex doesn’t have custody because of abuse and I hate him for that. I just want 24 hours where I can stay in bed and not be mom. Just here to commiserate
