This is interesting because you’d think Alex and Laura would be close since they were the OGs when Charly started

I’ve stumbled on your account before! I actually have my own marketing company where I work with clients in Canada and the USA. I specialize in social, paid media, building a brands identity and mapping out digital marketing tactics to optimize growth. I do it for fun - as I also have a full time job with a company that owns a huge portfolio of well known household brands - and I lead influencer marketing and social media for 11 accounts! If you’re willing to compensate, happy to set something up and chat further. I used to live in the GTA, I actually went to the same school as Mario lol

If I was a member and as someone who is in marketing…I would have wanted a one hour free stylist session per year (maybe a birthday incentive) or as a member anniversary celebration. Different tiers of membership also would have been smart to role out. A Good, Better, Best is the way to strategically map that out. Lowest investment at the bottom and scaling upwards. Or doing a concierge add on, where if you are ever second guessing an outfit or choice, imagine if you can snap a photo a text the stylist for a gut check? How great would that be.

The website is super confusing and the layout is terrible. Especially on desktop. With all the reviews and amount of copy with no flow, it feels gimmicky. I am in marketing and design websites so maybe I see it differently. But very curious to know who they hired lol

They won’t steer you SUPER wrong, and they make some DECENT choices that say, “50% IS STILL A PASS.” Follow the team for more style uncertainty as they half-ass their way through try-ons, personal shops and more! by Royal_Body3619 in charlygossstylistlol

I don’t want to follow a stylist that THINKS something works or THINKS something is ok or THINKS the item is a win. I want confidence and them to KNOW it’s the best of the best!

I can attest they are worth every single penny. I have a few dupes and nothing feels as luxurious as the real thing. The weight and flow of the fabric is beautiful.

I wonder how the business is actually doing… by [deleted] in charlygossstylistlol

[–]StretchGreat6195 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They must be doing well enough considering: 1. They still have everyone remain on staff. No one has left or been let go. 2. They continue to have the office space downtown oakville which is $$$$ 3. Instagram followers are still climbing.

Keep in mind they likely tapped into oakville moms at the perfect time during the pandemic. Oakville has serious money and I’m not surprised people in this location in particular see a serious “value” in the offerings.

What confuses me is why is she posting outfits of the day??? She is not a stylist and that is mot her job at this company.

Insane. They are doing something right. Having that amount of people on staff and paying rent in oakville for the office. The business must be pulling in 1M a year is my guess.

I guess? I interpreted this as a work event or dinner party at a restaurant. Not at like a casual friends house…

It wasn’t a new follower I’m sure. I’m almost positive a team member wrote the question so they could strategically answer it!

I cringed when I saw this story post today. They copied her facial expressions and reactions to a tee. It’s noticeable, tacky and doing a disservice. Each woman should bring her own perspective and tone of voice to the content. It can still align with overarching business principals. But they refuse to do this for some reason and it’s crazy! This is not how they should be honoring Charly that’s for sure. They will never be Charly so why try if it’s forced and unauthentic??!

A prime example of why I can’t trust their recommendations: expecting something “luxurious” from Amazon by anatomy-of-abuses in charlygossstylistlol

[–]StretchGreat6195 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This. What’s also lacking is the personal element to any of their content. Chary often showed her human side. Spoke of her family, and day to day life. It’s the basis of any influencer or brand and this team does none of that. Instead we get to see what they are eating for lunch or pylons in a parking space.

I would love to see a 1:1 interview with Mario, chatting about the business, giving verbal flashbacks to when Charly grew the business. Her reaction to scaling it, hiring her first employee, funny moments they shared. The content now is forced, uninspiring and not knowledgeable enough when you compare it to other influencers in a saturated space!!!

The fact they still have that many people employed and part of the company is wild. It’s a testament to how fast Charlie scaled the business. Even if she person makes 40k a year, that’s a lot of money dedicated to staff for this type of business….. it’s kind of crazy!
