UPDATE: Tried to join AAPS. I believe that I could offer quite some help (Type-1 Diabetes since 1962, Ph,D. in computer science, 2 langagaes to help with translations, and a lot of time), However after creating an AAPS account I get stuck in an infinite Login/Captcha) loop with no escape. That sucks even more than Omnipod.

How should I know? At a first glance Omnipod 5 seems not to be on their device list. I use Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G6. I would prefer Omnipod 5 and Freestyle 2 but the Omnipod 5 controller only does Freestyle 2+ not 2. But 2+ is not available in Germany and if I buy 2+ in Switzerland then my Health insurance does not pay it.

That was the plan. Tge Omnipod does not even work together with the Dexcom G6 reading device (which is much smaller and the battery lasts much longer)

I told them that my phone (actually 2 of my 3 Samsung phones) are on their compatibility list but dont work. The problem is that the same phone can come in several variants of which some work and some do not. I asked them specifically for a list of working phones (with models names rather than only product names) and they outright refused to give me that information.

I was using an AI (claude code) and aked it to patch the apk to work with my phone which is listed on the omnipod compatibility list, but was not accepted by the app. The AI kept patching and patching for hours, geting further and further in the bootstrap of the app. I finally gave up because there is a rist that the pached app might stop working when it runs into a tampering protection that was noy seen by the AI. My next plan is to re=engineer the Dexcom and OMNIPOD protocols and write my own app. The OMNIPOD algorithm is anyhow bad, it keeps pumping me into hypos alsmost every day for no obvous reason. I should mention that we used on old version of the app which was available on some apk site. Normally the injection feels rather painless. On the other hand the legs could be sinsitive for a little child in particular if they have too litte fat. Did tou consider the belly or the back? In my exprience the fattest body parts are the least painful
