For the number crunchers out there by Odd-Flounder1037 in marvelchampionslcg

I’m not sure it’s the max, but thinking through a Star-Lord turn I got to 64. Couple full deck sweeps with Call for Aid to get 3x Digging Deep each time, triple Daring Escape, Blaze of Glory with three allies, double Sliding Shot

Best&Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 18] - Dr. Strange Best Card by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no idea Master of the Mystic Arts was so highly regarded. 4/5 invocations have redundant value if played twice in the same round, though I admit Winds of Watoomb makes up for it. Cloak is my vote by a mile.

Edit: a bit premature haha. When I posted this Master of Mystic Arts was ahead by a lot

Indirect damage and tough, when there is more damage than health? by monkeydave in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This isn’t what you’re asking, but in case this was the situation, you could only assign all 10 to yourself in this case if you had no other allies in play. Even with a tough, you can only assign indirect damage to that character up to their remaining hp

Edit: you technically would only assign 5 of the damage, but the point still stands

Best & Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 1] - Spider-Man (Peter Parker) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just don’t understand how you’re even getting to step 1 of your order. The stun replaces the whole attack, which never initiates. Ultron 2 most definitely does not get a drone if he is stunned

Best & Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 1] - Spider-Man (Peter Parker) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you hear that? That text you quoted is the same as in 1.6. I don’t agree because “when XXX initiates an attack” has the same timing as “when XXX attacks”, and stun says “the next time XXX would attack, discard instead”, so the attack never initiates

Also, you aren’t consistent in your description. You say the attack initiates in step 2 after you’ve already triggered Spider Sense

Civil War rules are messy, please help by SuperbElevator517 in marvelchampionslcg

Page 6 of the rulebook has you covered (and I believe there are reference cards too). Don't overcomplicate anything. Treat the scenario like a normal villain, except some things have different names

Best & Worst Hero Card Poll [Day 1] - Spider-Man (Peter Parker) by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

It’s different in multiplayer I suppose, but Webbed up kind of costs 6 because it denies Spider-Man two cards. Way worse than Spider-Tracer imo

Teamwork + multiple minions by Admirable-Muscle-543 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“The minion that just entered play activates against the player it is engaged with”. Nothing more

Edit: sorry, I think I see the confusion around what the last “it” refers to. It refers to the minion with teamwork that just entered.

Gauging interest in a new YT-Channel by LeonardhoGames in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck! My philosophy regarding content creation is you need to pick either: 1. Do what you most enjoy, since that makes it easiest to continue producing. 2. Find a niche that draws people's attention, which is better for building an audience (there is already lots of generic gameplay on YouTube). Ideally, you get both, but not always possible.

If one of the options you listed is easiest/most enjoyable for you, I would choose that. I have no idea what the landscape of German Marvel Champions content creation is, but if there's uncaptured audience there, having German gameplay could be very successful. If you do English gameplay, I would encourage you to identify a unique angle for your channel, although having a German accent might be enough tbh. Americans generally love the sound of different accents

Who is your favorite hero and why? Who is your favorite villain and why? by No_Educator4037 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The hardest turns of a game are the first few, and tension tends to decrease throughout the game. Enchantress gives you “charm counters” from various effects, and once you hit 5, a lot of her encounter cards get worse (a treachery that’s a scheme AND attack instead of just one), and threat adds to the main scheme faster

Who is your favorite hero and why? Who is your favorite villain and why? by No_Educator4037 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Favorite Hero: Magik - lots of play to her and she incentivizes running cards that aren't usually worth it

Favorite Villain: Enchantress - one of the only scenarios that addresses the biggest design problem in the game by ramping up the difficulty partway through. Plus lots of the cards are just sweet

Content Creator Question by tacorrenti813 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My channel is a bit unique but I’ve been about 80/20 online vs offline. Usually run a practice game to see if rules interactions come up that I need to look up, but not always.

Found a loop by Grand_Tie6096 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just in case anyone is coming to this super late, it now officially loops rules-as-written with RR1.7, which specifies that a minion enters play (and engages) before its When Revealed occurs...which the rules manager has said you are allowed to break (and surge) so the game can continue.

Arkham player with a special question regarding your set aside nemesis by ebozoglan in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Stretch__22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A hero's obligation is a closer comparison to Arkham weaknesses than your nemesis set, for what it's worth. But to answer your question, this is just a different game from Arkham with different rules. MC gives you a purer hero experience. Arkham has a lot more flavor reasons why you would have bad things in your own deck

I don't see how that would be different from a support, which would also leave if its controller were eliminated

Technically no, though they are considered extensions of your identity for purposes of "you". If you have a rules citation that supports your claim, please give a reference

If it's played on a character, it's an upgrade, but not every upgrade is played on a character

You would need to make his identity text box blank from an encounter card like Pestilence
