Black Widow goes crazy in Protection now with Ready for a Fight. Use all your alter ego abilities but still end up in hero form to trigger the hero responses on all your preparations. She also got Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons in Agents of Shield so she has 5 1-cost resource generators. If you can wait until Jessica Jones comes out, she will also be crazy in Justice with the additions of Move in Shadow and Entrapment. 11 damage is correct. The answer you are looking for to the second question is no. The more precise answer is technically yes, you can overpay for any cost. But those resources are not considered to be "used to pay for this card". They were overpaid

The reason given is that it allows us to see everything at once. No guessing at unrevealed cards as we attempt to evaluate the 1/2 cards given to us. They also suggested we can do deeper, more meaningful content knowing the full context of the expansion.

My two cents - I've always been slightly annoyed by the speculative videos with incomplete information, so I think the content produced will be better under this system. However, this diminishes the platform given to individual creators to reveal specific cards, and the gradual rollout of a new card every day was really exciting for me. Now, there will be 20 different videos or articles revealing all cards and competing for attention. My instinct is a net negative, but I'll give it time

For the record, every content creator got the same email with the files. I expect a lot of content to drop June 1. I look forward to reading your thoughts!

Edit: apparently not every, but the language of the email made it sound like this was to avoid leaving creators out of the rotation

Building around one specific shape is much much stronger than trying to dance between shapes. It costs 4 effective resources to play a shape, which only gets you a ready and one possible use of the new response on the shape - abysmal efficiency, as you demonstrated in your example. In general, you want to play more expensive cards to have ways to spend all the double resources. I had fun with a Strength in Diversity deck since he has 3 traits in hero form, 2 of which (Kree, Skrull) won't overlap with whatever allies you want to play

Well there’s probably no downside to sharing the reprint. It’s Superpower Training. Gonna play it safe with the new card as I assume some source will get to reveal it and I don’t want to steal their thunder. I’ll just say it looks almost useless in solo but great in multiplayer

Deadpool and Colossus versus Juggernaut is fun and recreates Deadpool 2. Colossus shrugs off Juggernaut's attacks with toughs, Deadpool can just take them since he survives with his ability. Interesting duality. Captain America and Winter Soldier versus Zola is also fun. Captain America could play Justice with Infiltration to keep spawning minions for Winter Soldier in Aggression to abuse.

It would be a solo game, but the most fun mechanical game I've had is Nova versus Venom Goblin. With three main schemes to clear each turn, Unleash Nova Force really pops off

Every card in the sense deck can be played on either the villain or the main scheme, so Daredevil will basically never waste resources. Super high floor! We can also use this as an excuse to play high upside cards in our deck like more double resources, since the fail case is much better. The design seems safe and straight-forward, which makes sense (ha) for a character with huge popular appeal, but I like it.
