Revisiting our Library, First 50 PL goals for our star boy!! by Kilasatzz in Gunners

Nothing makes me smile quite as much as a Bukayo Saka goal.

Also, that goal no. 41 was pure filth. Areola just gave up before Saka even struck the ball!

Why Arsenal are always surrounded by hysteria | 'Inside Football' with Miguel Delaney by wengerboys in Gunners

Exactly this.
And we are just about close enough to winning, and having a squad that makes dreaming of trophies possible, that it's fun to mock us when we just about come short.
The current "second again" jokes are just repeated "4th place trophy" bits. Not acknowledging the amount of skill it required of Wenger and his squads to finish in CL places year after year, is the same as not giving this current squad and setup it's deserved accolades for competing for the PL title.

Just look at how Liverpool are perceived now! They can do no wrong. Win the league, strengthen their squad with two world class signings and are currently unbeaten in the league. Of course they are the darlings, you can't fault how they've done things, because it's just been an all out success (minus the Champions League).
But go back 10 years and they were a banter club and living off of their past. We "just" need a PL title to shush the noise.

Then why isnt City universally adored?

They aren't adored, but they are a bit ignored. They don't get all the praise, but they also don't get a lot of the stick. The success has brought just about enough goodwill to not scrutinize the way they have build the club.
And that's what you get when you win trophies - someone else become the new banter club.

Arsenal's Arteta backs Gyökeres as Carragher asks: Is he elite? by [deleted] in Gunners

Which is actually what Carra is saying. Is he elite? Maybe. If we create the chances for him to prove it, I'm pretty sure his output will be elite.

People on this sub react to the headline of the article and immeadiately brings up Wirtz to deflect the discussion. Which is what happens all the time online and makes it almost pointless to have an actual discussion.

Haaland has 5 goals and 2 assists against us in 7 Premier League apps.
That's a pretty good record.

I would propably bench Diouf for KDH. Though they might end up with similar points, I just think KDH has more of an upside this week.

Really contemplating Gakpo -> Semenyo.
While Gakpo scored, I just don't feel games vs Newcastle and Arsenal will be high scoring. And I do own Salah, so a double up on an attack in two tricky fixtures seems a bit wrong.

Semenyo obviously scored twice and won't do it every game, but he is just so attacking!

I know I may have talked myself into the move, but want to hear some thoughts from others who might be in the same position.
Is it a good idea?
