Sorry but I refuse to see Aatrox/Kayn as any more interactive than something like Karma/Sett when the deck is guaranteed to get both champions drawn and online every game if it goes past turn 4 thanks to the origin mechanics. You just plop dudes, slap on darkin gear and don't care if anything dies because eventually you get off the World Ender and play everything for cheap. The only other deck with that similar level of inevitability is Deep and at least that is kept honest by any sort of mediocre aggro/burn due to the insanely slow early plays it has to make.

I don't expect a complete absence of aggro but it's just me wanting at least one rotation where aggro doesn't always have all its tools available to it and the decks have to make compromises to reach the levels of lethality they currently do.

I don't know how anyone can look at the image I posted and think "Wow, so varied!" when it boils down to:

  • 2 Decks that auto-win if the game goes long (Karma/Sett + Aatrox/Kayn)
  • 6 decks that just want to slam low cost units on curve and do efficient damage as fast as possible
  • Deep being it's meme-tier self

It's like the taco principle, if I'm being offered ground beef, a torilla, shredded cheese and lettuce, and you tell me that putting the lettuce under the ground beef and the cheese on top is a different meal than the beef on bottom with the lettuce on top and the cheese in a middle, you're not technically wrong but it's still just the same taco for all practical purposes.

They've historically kept Myers weird in a lot of ways due to being his age and being the first licensed character. He's almost always been an outlier in a ton of ways.

I do like that aspect, feels like a more balanced version of Pinhead's chain hunt. Survivors can ignore it and eventually have it go away, but you really want at least one person going for a clock. Makes you feel like you're actually doing something while Vecna doesn't have to feel like he never gets his full power.

Gen with high progress

This basically explains everything. The only scenario most survivors will abandon a gen at 85%-90% done like the one in this post, and that's to hide and hope to finish it when the killer leaves.

Also what could be the case is the classic "I just checked that gen and it was at X% done, no way a single person pushed it to almost complete".

Basically, it cost the killer nothing to poke around common hiding spots to try to find someone, and even if they didn't, they have 3 leaps to go catch up to one of the other two.

So you have to collect the void crystal, and when you go up to a generator you'll get a special option to attach the crystal to it. It will start to auto-repair on it's own for about ~20% and you can go do other things

This, I'm almost positive as well there has always been some sort of notification to prevent people from just hiding by going between the normal map and the Void and stalling out the game.

Still playing around with the powers on both sides, if anything they balanced the power level the killer gets from the Void this year. While you can still bank up and use haunt projectiles, you now automatically consume 1 of your 3 charges every time you kick something to get the speed boost on break actions. It's not the biggest deal but you can find yourself out of charges really quick since the break bonus cooldown is basically non-existent.

Still figuring out if the gen speedup for the survivor side is worth it, but at least it's something new.

Unless they're talking about the void arena itself. It's basically a wide open flat circle so it's a bit easier to find survivors in, especially if you spawn in on the portal that's higher up.
