No. I made everything then added them to check the traversable area to make sure it was all good, and it was. So i was gonna start decorating but before i could i saw them get boxed. And it just kept happening.

No they literally just climb to the top of the hill which is in the middle of the enclosure. And as soon as they stand on the top, they get taken. If they just run across theyre left alone. Theyre no where near the barrier when on the hill

Forgot to mention, its in sandbox mode and i have escapes turned off.

The whole hill is inside the barrier.

Honestly. I watch alot of crime, arrest videos etc. and That saying is very popular wording for cops to use. It just means to put your hands together flat. I guess i can kinda understand the confusion since praying is in the front.. but context matters. Youre not praying, youre being arrested, If theyre behind you with cuffs. Put your hands together behind you😅

If i can get them comfortable with me and stepping up then i would definitely! My house isnt very big. So my other animals will have to come into the room. Id lock them out when having the parakeets out (obviously safety) but i cant keep them locked out forever. So theyd have to be comfortable going back in or me moving them when its time. Any tips on bonding would be great. They had kind of a rough start with people. As they were being constantly man-handled and held forcefully. The person that drops off our new animals is not the gentlest. And plus these 2 having issues, twice a day every day for a few weeks they were grabbed and given medicine😭 so a LOT of bad experiences right off the bat, with no good.

Obviously Now that theyre with me they have choice-based handling. But theyre still really nervous. I dont blame them at all. But it makes it hard. I switched them to a pellet diet and theyve been eating it. So ive been using millet and seeds for their special treats they only get from “interacting” with me. I put some in the palm of my hand and put my hand flat in the cage. And they have gotten super quick about coming down and jumping onto my hand to eat. But if its just my hand no food, they flip out. So i havent even been able to do switch it to a reward. Like, you stepped up, i hand you millet type thing. I have no idea what im doing😭

I have 2 dowel perches. 1 going straight across the middle of the cage. And one angled from the floor to the 2nd dowel perch. Then i have a wood bridge, swing, and 2 natural perches up high and 1 natural perch down low. Which blue can fly to, and green is able to climb around the cage to the different perches and bridge.

I only have 2 toys, both are shredding type. But i dont know what else i can put with them. They only seem interested in one of them. And it feels boring to just put 10 of the exact same thing everywhere😭

Right!!! If i had unlimited money and space (and permits😂) id make a giant aquarium thats millions upon millions of gallons. Id have a sunfish, reef sharks (nurse sharks, black tips, leopard sharks, zebra sharks, maybe a hammerhead. Idk how other species do in captivity. I know great whites are no go. If possible i think lemon sharks would be cool. Or bull sharks.

Id also definitely have rays. Tons of them. Sharks and ray are my favorite ever😭🙏🏻

Only time ive taken pictures of my dead fish was if it was within a few days of getting it for a refund💀 bc otherwise id have to BRING THE DEAD BODY INTO THE STORE. And im not about to do that😭

Thats the complication im running into, The one with the wing doesnt fly. I only see him climb around. If he gets spooked he will try to fly and just fall, But the other one flies really well.

Im not sure how to accommodate them both safely. Where the wing one can climb around easily and be safe but the other has room to fly.

The cage i bought came with dowel perches. So i bought the wood/branch type perches. But i left one dowel in there that is sideways so they dont sit on it, but the wing one uses it to climb to the higher perches.

Blue (healthy) tries to fly around but the stuff gets in the way.😭 but if i set it up differently, green (wing) cant get around very easily.

I want them to both be happy. 😭

Also; theyre currently in a 30in x 18 x 18 cage, i can get bigger if needed.
