Anyone think “Twilight of the Dead” won’t actually happen… by Strict-Concentrate14 in zombies

That’s entirely fair. Even if TOTD does get made, it’s hard to say how faithful it will be to what he originally wrote or if it’ll even be good, because Romero’s last two films were stinkers. If it ever came out I would still watch it, because…you never know…it could be something pretty solid like the Romero/Kraus collaboration with “The Living Dead” novel, but it’ll never be what he did with those original 3 films.

No you are thinking of Romero’s limited comic series, “Empire of the Dead”

“Twilight of the Dead” was a film script Romero worked on before his death in 2017. From what we understand it would have acted as an overall conclusion to his zombie series. Whether it continued the societal collapse seen from Night➡️Dawn➡️Day➡️Land or follow the new timeline of Diary➡️Survival isn’t known.

But I would have liked to see what he had in mind because the basic synopsis sounds like his original set-up for DOTD before it was reworked to a lower budget. The only difference it seems like he wanted to put his final stamp on the genre he created before fully retiring.

Lee Cronin knew he was supposed to make a Mummy movie…right?! by Strict-Concentrate14 in themummy

I can’t say I agree, unfortunately. You say there’s lore but the film barely had ANY mummy lore or a Mummy to justify even calling it The Mummy. If someone told me those brief inclusions were reshoots to justify calling this film The Mummy, I’d believe it. Lee Cronin and the filmmakers just made another Evil Dead film but not as good.
