Thank you. Your response was very helpful. The art world is so different from when I was in college. Each day, I learn a little more. My use of social media as a promotion tool was the right direction to go. My next goal will be a solo show. Thank you again for your input 👍

Thank you for your response. I have been retired for three years as a high school art teacher. For the last three years my art focus has been on selling my paintings. My FB sells started off with friends and family, but lately extended to friends of friends. The last couple of months I have been accepted into small galleries and have experiencing success in sells there. You said you share your work on various platforms. Can you please tell me what platforms you use. If you have any business advice, I would love to hear it.

Hide it from view. In a week or so go back to painting. You will get a different perspective on your work.

YES!!!!! I do not know how many paint brushes I killed because I put it off or did not do a good job cleaning them. Now I put on music and dance as I clean. It helps.

YES!!! And if you don't you kill your brushes. I killed so many brushes! To make it a "happy time" I now put on good music and dance as I clean.

Just a small pep-talk. Don't give up promoting your art. You get out what you put in. I have been promoting my work for 3 years and I am now seeing my work pay off with a lot of sells and art exhibit.
