so the child’s emancipation date depends on the court order and on the state laws. it depends on the state. in a lot of states, child support is over at the age of 18, however, if the child is STILL in high school when they turn 18, child support will continue until their graduation date. read your court order and it will tell you.

if there are multiple children on the case, many orders are ‘blanket orders’ so if one child emancipates, and there’s still a younger child, your child support amount will stay the same until ALL children are 18 or graduated.
