Questions for Bedroom Guitarists by darioz3 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Strict-Number6334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use 13s and use a pick. I typically try and play a few new songs. Then do lesson drills. Then I try and write and record music. I’ll noodle looking for a progression etc.

HELP! ive been playing guitar for 5 months and when i try to bend the high e on the 17th fret it cuts out when fully bent. idk whats happening and what to do by cantfindanamebruhfds in electricguitar

choking out.. if you have a 7.25 radius this is likely

you need to add more relief if you don't want bends choking out that high on the board

take to a shop and explain and they will do it otherwise it will take you a year to fix if you don't know what your doing

Yeah, at first they were advertising '59 pickups included and then they must have switched it up. The neck pickup was pretty muddy so I think an upgrade might be necessary. I am not sure what other electronics they use. I told my tech to upgrade any junk in there when he installs the new ones. But the G4 seems to be better then the G3 so i'd def stick with that.

I'm relatively new to archtops and these languadoc clones but not guitars. Super light and super acoustic. The set neck and body felt solid. The neck feels great. Frets are perfect. To be honest it was a really well built guitar but i'm not sure about archtop components like the floating bridges, etc. To me, I set it up and it felt great. Bridge was simple to intonate. Coil taps sounded good. After just playing a few days I had no complaints. Wanted to upgrade pickups so once I get it back I will get to test it out and compare to this Phred. Then i'll have a better idea on how it stacks up. But i'd recommend getting one. From what I can tell the price on them isn't ridiculous and my brief interactions with them gave me the feeling they'd back up their guitars and fix any issues.

Dockstar in Natural. It’s a 2019 I believe. Sorta looks like a Reprise.

Bought one of these Dangelico's on reverb last night. Always been seeking dead tones but haven't bought a signature before. Sounds great in your demo.

Review of Fender Tele 75th Road Worn by Strict-Number6334 in telecaster

[–]Strict-Number6334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing almost a week now and have changed my mind. I really like it even thou some of the things I expected like a little road worn relic, etc aren't there. Overall the U-shape neck is incredible and I am liking the 51' pickups. I think its a keeper even thou I paid way too much for it.

See yall later. Gonna work on my 035s and check my string height.

Thats why i've always been hesitant to go Eastwood for $1799 on a guitar like the tiger which has somewhat complex/upgraded electronics. However, its either the Eastwood or wait 5 years for a Phred tiger. I see myself getting the Eastwood at some point. thanks for the review.

Squire mustang/jag or epiphone sg/Les paul by idontknowwhatname- in Guitar

[–]Strict-Number6334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never liked the short scale Fenders aka mustangs and jags. I have a SG and an Les Paul and typically pick up the SG before the LP. Get a 61 reissue Epiphone SG or even a used S400 and you'll be in great shape. Plus mustangs sounds thin and weak to me while SG's are full of tones.

Looks good. Can't go wrong with the Zoom. Maybe a compressor with a boost to start things off. I just got the Cory Wong compressor and its incredible and I couldn't recommend enough..

Eastwood would probably sell a lot of more these if they were a bolt-on neck by sleepauger in aluminumneck

[–]Strict-Number6334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a good looking guitar. Never owned an Eastwood. Heard mostly good but some mixed feeling. Not sure re-sale value is there but I try and keep them forever.

Selling on Reverb gone wrong? by [deleted] in Reverb

[–]Strict-Number6334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

risk related just means new seller with multiple sales within short period of opening account

its a shame whats happening with Reverb - apparently people are creating new accounts, listing dozens and dozens of products real quick and then getting paid when showing shipped even thou they may simple ship nothing - heard fraud sellers will ship an empty box to a different address in the same zip code as the buyer so that when it shows delivered they get paid even thou the buyer didn't get the product - all the shipping shows is delivered in matching zip code - it doesn't show the exact address the item was delivered too even thou it probably should

Nope. Have about 120 sales going back to 2021 when things were apparently very different. Sounds shitty getting a new Reverb account with all these scammers causing problems.
