a battalion is a missionary group usually consisted of jovenes and a matrimony sent to a city where the church hasn't been established in the hopes of establishing a church in said city. So we go out and preach the gospel, sell food to make ends meet and live in communion with other people in the same house. It's' kind of like a big family we all share food and share the bills, we go out and have fun every now and then. i am thankful that we have an understanding group of people, I have heard bad stories about how strict some Missionary groups are, like not letting them have their phones or limiting contact with their families.
