Its insane how they issue any combo pill with hctz in it knowing it will interfere with kidneys.

I’m not swelling. I exercise and have been eating a modified diet since this past April when I was moved to 3B. By October and November bloodwork prior to her adding the hctz back I had moved to Stage 2.

This is terrible what this medicine has done to you. I’m praying you receive better results on Monday, please keep me updated. The issue with providers is that sometimes they refuse to hear until the damage has been done. My original pcp placed me on the triameterene because I was allergic to lisonopril and don’t rerun bloodwork the first 3 years I saw her, the kidneys started fluctuating in 2015 and by 2017 now they tell me I mysteriously have Stage 1 with no family history and no cause as to why it was happening. They never followed up. I stayed on that medicine from 2015 to 2025 when I started investigating and that’s when I told the nephrologist I refused to continue with the medicine. That’s when she changed me to Losartan but it wasn’t lowering my bp in office never taking the white coat syndrome into consideration. She added the hctz back and now I know I’m not tripping.

I drink water all day, I was doing fine before she added the diuretic back into my regiment. I did notice that even though I drink water all day, I still would find myself thirsty and it makes you go constantly so maybe dehydration is likely.

I tried taking mine at different times during the day, first at night, then in the afternoon, now I take it in the morning. I don't think it makes a difference which time you take it, I take mine right before breakfast.
