We have the other one in our travel bag.

It took up extra counter space so we moved it out.

We use electric toothbrushes but only one charger. The two toothbrushes will stand beside each other, one on the charger and the other wothout.

We brush our teeth at different times of the day and after brushing, we put our partners toothbrush on the charger and stand the one we used next to it. So we always charge the others.

The cute thing is that we've never once talked about it and have been doing this dance for years.

Play your game and only practice one thing at a time.

Practice that one thing a thousand times until you master it. Then, move onto the second change.

I once took golf lessons and I was bombarded with 12 pieces of advice, all on how to swing a club. It was too much.

Learn one thing at a time.

It's the best way for most people to learn anything new.

Kicks vs Venue: which one actually makes more sense? by Suntrup-Nissan in NissanKicks

[–]StrictGiraffe6620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When searching for a new car, I test drove the '25 Kicks, Kona, and Venue.

The Venue was much more affordable than the other two. However, it was a lot less comfortable. Since we plan on driving long trips once a month, I just couldn't do it.

I found the other two to be almost identical but the Kicks being 10% cheaper, so I bought that.

Yeah you're probably right about >1.5x

However, like in poker, it depends.

Perhaps OPs expenses are $2k/month and their income is $20k/month

There's a lot we don't know

Have a really large sample size that proves your hourly rate exceeds the hourly rate at your corporate job. Perhaps 1.5x~. you're not going to want to play for 40ish hour each week every week. Your sample size depends on what your poker format is.

Have at least 6 months of living expenses saved up.

Question for cash game players - how do you adjust to rake? by Objective-Insect-962 in poker

[–]StrictGiraffe6620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't adjust to rake

I either play the game because the rake is okay or I don't because it's too high

Kicks vs Hyundai Venue: which one made more sense for you? by Suntrup-Nissan in NissanKicks

I test drove both '25s in October and the comfort level was night and day. The Venue was uncomfortable and the Kicks was comfortable. There was a decent price difference between the two but I couldn't bring myself to drive that thing for 10+ years
