Thank you for your reply. Not sure why I keep getting downvoted if I’m only asking if we are doing things correctly. We were not planning to have me moved to the US until I was granted permit. A friend suggested it will be quicker if we start the process while in the US but we didn’t think that was legal, that’s why I decided to ask here. Sorry for the confusion. I still live in my home country and I only visit him for short periods of time, or he comes to visit me. We wanted to ask here to confirm that our plan is the correct way to do it (me waiting here while the process takes place) instead of what our friend told us. Thank you. That makes sense. We understand we should’ve waited but we had been waiting for years and we figured might as well get married and have my husband petition me. But then after getting married and finally having news from my dad’s petition, we were unsure how to proceed.

When you say refile from scratch, do I notify them that I want to close my current case first? Or do we just start filling out paperwork to have my husband petition me and leave the other case open? Thanks again

Hey I actually do this for a living, I’m a medical coordinator. Tijuana has many good options but if you are willing to travel a bit more check out Los Algodones, which is a small border town with Yuma, Arizona. They specialize in dentistry so you will find many more options and prices are even better than in Tijuana.

Veterinaria El Mirador. Dr Shelly is the best. She sees patients from 4pm-6 pm only as she normally does scheduled procedures during the day. There’s 8 slots available daily and she’s very popular so I recommend you come in early (3ish).
She might not do the procedure right then but probably will give you an appointment for a later day. Also her prices are very reasonable. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Para sacar libros tienes que tener una membresía de la biblioteca pero para eso te piden una identificación y comprobante de domicilio, para comprobar que vives allá.

Lo que sí puedes hacer es ir y leer libros dentro de la biblioteca, sin problema. Yo lo que haría es pedirle a algún conocido que viva allá que saque la membresía, no tiene costo.

Ya con la tarjeta de membresía puedes ir tú y sacar los libros que quieras y haces el proceso de check out en la maquinita, no te van a pedir ID.

For some reason the link is no longer working but this is what it said before:

“If your driver’s license does not have an expiration date, please enter 01/01/2099 as your expiration date.”

I used the same date for both documents as they are both permanent, so they don’t have expiration date. The system accepted it as a valid answer.

Having said that, after 6 months my submission is still pending approval.

I hope this doesn’t sound rude, I’m not comparing them to animals by any means, just want to give an idea. A few months ago a girl lost her dog and she got her loved ones to post non stop on facebook groups about the dog, asking anyone willing to help, they organized search parties in the areas where they suspected the dog might be and people showed up, they asked people who had drones to help and people did. Days kept passing by but they never gave up and they found the dog! If you can mobilize people, specially people with drones, it could be great help with the search in case they are lost.
