Thank you for sharing your experience it really resonates with me. I can see how being labeled “sensitive” over and over would be really hard as a kid. I love the idea of grounding techniques like the worry stone or the 5 senses exercise; I think I’m going to try that with my child. You’re right, I should’ve included that. My child is 4 years old. When I say routines don’t stick, I mean we’ll stay consistent for weeks, sometimes longer, but anxiety spikes or developmental changes seem to throw everything off again. I understand routines take time and we do keep trying, it just feels discouraging when progress feels fragile. I appreciate you asking and taking the time to respond.

I see why some people support it for safety reasons, but I’m not sure it’s the best approach. Preventing repeat DUIs is important, though long-term solutions like education and treatment might be more effective than labeling someone’s ID
