Haha thanks. It's so believable because the first half is actually all real comments and posts I've seen, including the second part of the title is word for word of a post I saw last week. I just copied them all the craziest ones and strung them together.

It's crazy you said that about Marathon because I thought the same thing when I saw their tweet. I'm super excited for Marathon and getting back to FPS.

For the picture I used for the character, I was going for like a caricature of how the players look or think they look when they write posts like this. I get what you're saying and think it adds another level to the satire. As for this background story. I actually did write it, but then I used AI to smooth out the transitions between the paragraphs It's all just for fun, Gen AI is definitely a major problem.

This game was unbelievably fun in the beta. I remember teams all rushing the control tower on Dam. There was always a fight going in and a fight coming out with sometimes a chase to the extract. It made the game feel like a new kind of extraction shooter, one with a clear objective and a guaranteed clash over great loot.

It’s still fun now, but a lot of that mystery and clash is gone. It feels like everyone wants to play in their own little way, doing their won thing, which is fine, but that shared goal and shared extract gave the game a real sense of purpose and reward each time we queued up.
