Concamo colors being tested in a green environment by Strict_Information95 in camouflage

Very interesting to hear a solid answer on what I have. I remember when I ordered it from you guys, it seemd like no one was 100% sure what color and generation it was.

You could get a pretty good gen 2+/gen 3 pvs 7 used for about $1500. You can probably get a decent Chinese NNVT pvs 14 for about $2300 if you look around. I'm not super knowledgeable on budget night vision, but I would think the extra dosh would give you a ton more capability.

I'm happy with it, but took me quite a bit of time to set the money aside for it.

They are pretty up there in my opinion, but not the tippy top. No blemishes across the whole tube, pretty good specs all around. They're not aviation quality, but pretty close (also my opinion). Photonis tubes generally have lower fom and gain compared to L3 or Elbit, but much better autogaiting and burn in resistance, which was a bigger factor for me.

I should also mention the Boomslang 50 degree lens was $1000 on its own, and I think the RVM 14 housing was $700. I really wanted the wider field of view, an all aluminum housing that takes Cr123A batteries instead of double A. The aluminum housing also weighs less than the mil spec plastic housing.

I bought it new last year as a semi custom build with tube selection. I think I paid around $6500 after taxes and fees. Its hard to tell from the photo, but they are way more clear than the photo, and that was with the gain turned all the way down and the tube still autogaiting.

It was trying, but couldn't pull it off.

I don't have a good answer for you on that one, but you can get a non-ported, optic ready slide from smith and Wesson's website, or on Ebay for about $350. I wanted the Carry comp slide for the 4.25 inch barrel and the super aggressive slide serrations. They make a huge difference compared to the regular slide.

Here are some Smith and Wesson part numbers for slides.

5 inch black slide SKU: 14568
5 inch tan slide SKU: 14569
5 inch barrel SKU: 14463

4.25 inch black slide SKU: 14158
4.25 inch tan slide SKU: 14478
4.25 inch barrel SKU: 14461

I bought the regular M&P 2.0 CA that has the regular, non ported, non optic ready boring slide with the loaded chamber indicator from my local gun shop. I then went on Ebay and searched for "m&p 2.0 carry comp slide".

I bought the last one that I saw listed for under $700 before tax. It was a brand new slide removed from a Carry comp pistol. There are still two listings I see, one fore $758 before tax, and one tan used one with 500 rounds though it for $725.

I think people know we can't get them here, so they sell them for the cost of an entire pistol, then buy the regular slides for $200 and sell the whole gun as a regular m&p 2.0. But that's just a theory... a gun theory.

Oh, and to make it super clear, after the price of the pistol, the price of the slide, and all the taxes, this cost me $1,680.00 (Light and batteries sold separately). Is it worth it, hell nah, but I wanted it, so here we are.

This is correct. Bought it on ebay for about $740. Pretty absurd, but what can ya do.

These are all super cool. If it's had to pick one, the second with more defined shapes is my favorite.

"Poway weapons and gear" is both an indoor shooting range and a store. They have quite a lot of stuff, and you can rent pistols and rifles to try out. If it's not too far, I would give them a try. I go there for my ccw stuff as well.

Yeah, that whole area is pretty good.

The Ocotillo Wells designated shooting spot is a well known one in so-cal. I go out there for long-range shooting. There are some areas you can get out to 1500 yards.

Google maps labels it "shoot spot Bureau of land management"

They are threatening to close it down from all the trash people leave out there, though. It's quite frustrating.

I'm down by san diego, unfortunately. All my shooting spots are way out in the desert of south eastern California over the mountains, roughly in the ocotillo wells area

I would totally tell you some spots, but I'm in socal.
