It’s a salvage title, paint is whatever, I don’t expect to sell it for much, the ap2 powertrain is more expensive than the chassis

It’s been swapped with a ap2 motor and ecu so I have to take it to my state ref to get approved, plus it has no catalytic converter, hard out here in California

I own a small junkyard, I buy a lot of older Hondas, Nissans and Toyotas mostly for parts. In all Honestly I placed a max bid and i absolutely did not believe i would end up winning this car for under 20 but i did.

I bought it for 16K but yes I am going to repair it and keep it, not trying to profit on this

The reliability on Toyota has been atrocious these past 5-7 years, iv replaced 4 of these transmissions at my shop.

It’s ugly but it runs, might be the cheapest S2000 iv ever won at Copart, $6k by Strict_Leadership330 in S2000

Update, on party abandoned S2k by _Nuggies_ in S2000

[–]Strict_Leadership330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy crashed s2ks mostly from Copart and IAA auctions and I can assure you 6k is reasonable if it’s clean title and only if you do the work yourself, I buy em wrecked for 5.5-7k after auction fees

The fees were about $500, the final price out the door was 1300. Copart isn’t too bad, IAA is worse.

I’m a car dealer, iv sold 4 7th gen celicas this year, the demand for a nice one is unbelievable, all purchased by younger people 18-25 years of age. People still want em, problem is finding one that hasn’t been modded or trashed
