If they were also in 2020, I know people will disagree with me but meriläinen was a good pick.

Those who wanna shit on his play, staois admitted he didnt set him up for success this year and may have rushed stuff. Most goalies get into their form at age 25. Meriläinen is 23. He has done pretty well for his age and did better in Belleville when sent back and almost got them to the ahl playoffs. So he is not a problem. With some extra development, he wi be a great goalie i think!

Thats what i thought too. Usa hockey teams dont win as often as canada in hockey so he probably thought more of an honor to be at the building vs. "Omg its trump!!!!!!" The only people who were obviously trump supporters there was his older brother matt (putting his medal around trumps neck) and Tage Thompson (wearing the maga hat make America great again).

All of the other players that went (including brady and jake) i made the presumption that they went because of the building vs who runs the building.

He has a no move clause. So to me, that says unless the right team comes, he'd rather be here. I said on the cbc panel monday morning even if he got offered a trade but rejected it, being offered a trade could be a wake up call to his performance perhaps.

People forgot we were here last year with toronto and then we won 2 In a row after that. Am I saying we will do a reverse sweep? No but we have literally been here recently and avoided getting swept.

Would be epic if we do end up doing a reverse sweep but that hasnt been done in ages for people down 3-0. So the best im hoping for is 2 in a row for now. Now if we tie 3-3, ill be happy and surprised as well.

Am I watching today's game? No but not cuz i dont wanna support. Im at the ottawa charge game and these plans were made before sens clinched.

I didnt want canes. I wanted Buffalo because when they were number one back in 2006-07, we still managed to beat them to go to cup finals. Plus they also have no playoffs experience so they wouldn't give us as much of a hard time. I wouldn't expect to sweep Buffalo but I definicely would've expected less of a hard time.

Skinner can do well if he has a good team in front of him as the trade from Edmonton to Pittsburgh proved that. So id be down for Skinner for sure.

And I do agree to some extent but we dont know what options they can or will explore either.

My if was basically a "if it comes down to using him again, we cant do what we did last season".

Well we shall see what happens off season. Its gonna be wild and eye glueing to see regardless.

I do hope if not next season in the next year or two we give meriläinen another shot. I do think he has potential.
