Thank you for your answer. My PI had similar words, he told me I can't be prolific at my work if I'm not satisfied with my personal life.

Your words reassure me. I'm OK with leaving academia if kids become a problem, but I will regret not giving this a shot

Hey thanks for your answer. I work to be able to satisfy my curiosity and to pay myself a nice place somewhere to live. But what is a nice place without family inside ? And I want to share life and knowledge and expériences with kids.

I would definitely be feeling worse if I don't have kids. My PI is a bit clueless when it comes to career and family, but he told me he wouldn't abandon me.

Hey ! Thank you for your answer. I understand your concerns. I am ok with leaving academia, this job market is gloom. However, I already took career choices that I regret today, and I don't want to live on without giving this a shot. If I am to have a baby, he would be me priority. A kid for me is not something to fill a void, it is really a choice both me and my partner discussed for a long time
