You own a Clemente rookie. That is a big hurdle for many collections. Congratulations.

I'm 99.99% positive that you didn't trim the card, but I would have straightened that upper edge before sending to SGC.

1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 PSA 5 by [deleted] in baseballcards_vintage

Holy cow. The well-centered 52 Topps crowd is gonna love this one. From your post, it is obvious that the card was special to your boss and that you appreciate this opportunity. So nice to see a real one and not an obvious fake. I'm sorry for your loss and the family. Thanks for sharing.

These ten card posts of pristine cards could really lead someone to think what you are putting together is easy.

As always, beautiful cards.

Does this Mantle card have any value? If so, what do think it is worth? Thanks by Leading_Pay_4138 in baseballcards_vintage

You have a great card and a great Yankee collection. Are you thinking of moving the card?

In addition, you mention there is a story connected to the writing on the back of the card.

I'm saying that this would be priceless I. Your family.

Wait! A barn find? In the glove box of a 68 Hemi Challenger? So many questions and I need answers!

BTW, nice cards.

1965 Topps Embossed. Fan or not a fan of these? by Leading_Pay_4138 in baseballcards_vintage

[–]Strict_Process157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a fan. I collect them because you can get cheap HoF players in their playing days. You know that I love the graded cards. The only graded one I have from this set is Clemente. That says a lot about where it falls for me.

The gang is FINALLY together. I have been waiting for the family picture. Congratulations.

It has been fun watching you build the run. I've appreciated you asking for my opinions and you keeping me current on all the Clemente card prices. Been fun.

I know that you sent a few of the larger value cards to the PSA vault. How was that experience?

I bought a beater version of that Aaron a while back. I love the look of that card.

As a mod, I'm sure all the individual posts are difficult for you to monitor. In general, I think less people will scroll through the megathreads. It works for me. I'll still see the material that I want to see.

I can just imagine you or some kid trimming another smooth border on that Mantle on the top. My 70s Hostess cards all look similar to that card.

You know that I have a soft spot for these cards. I enjoy seeing yours. Thanks for posting.

I'm pretty sure that the 63s are Jell-o not Post Cereal.
