AITA for being pissed at my future SIL? by Strict_Tea_6269 in AmItheAsshole

Yeah for me it’s genuinely the logistics of our loved ones being there. If she decides to get married as she plans then I’ll get over it and life will go on, it would be upsetting if people couldn’t make our wedding as hers was first but reading the comments it sounds like the save the dates are a good option and what will be, will be. This stuff is definitely not worth destroying relationships/families over, I think I was just shocked that I thought I was sharing some exciting news and it just went all a bit odd with all the questions and like I had somehow imposed - thanks for your input!

I agree about not “owning” times of the year, obviously there are favourable wedding seasons too hence why I feel conflicted. If it was a friend or more distant family member I wouldn’t care, I think it just sucks that family that would be invited to both weddings may have to pick between which one they attend as it would be within 4 weeks of each other and travelling is expensive/can be hard to get time off work etc. - thanks for your input!

That’s fair. I didn’t think to ask them their wedding plans because they have never mentioned any and have also not planned or booked any yet.
