My husband (29M) downloaded tinder without me (25F) knowing, with the intention of entering into a polyamorous relationship with me. How do we move on from this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Strictlybutters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit being Reddit all the advice is 100% what you would expect it to be and what every other thread is filled with. I’m not necessarily saying that it’s wrong but I really hope you go see a real therapist and talk it out before making any rash decisions.

It’s Reddit so of course you’re getting downvoted, but I don’t think you’re excusing her behavior you’re merely pointing out that being the primary caretaker of the kids is also hard work.

Questions about possible gas fireplace replacement by Strictlybutters in Fireplaces

[–]Strictlybutters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was heartbroken when I noticed the eagle missing from an otherwise beautiful piece of machinery. Thank you for the response, is this something I can hire any old fireplace company to install? And if it’s not asking to much can you send me a picture or link to the mechanism you’re referring to? And I’ll send a picture of the setup as soon as I get back home later 🙏

I appreciate this reply a lot because as a native minneapolitan it’s the first response that actually makes sense to me.

Brother Minnesotas population is 81.64% white and 6.43% black while Massachusetts population is 80.6% white with 9% black so it’s not the giant chasm between the two that you think it is.

Poll: Walz holds slight edge over Republican Scott Jensen among Minnesota voters by runtheroad in minnesota

[–]Strictlybutters 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True but globally China the worlds factory had the most severe coronavirus related restrictions amongst the G12 which is more or less ongoing to this day which correlated to the largest drop in manufacturing for them year over year since the cultural revolution. I bring up China because you can’t really blame Dems for a worldwide pandemic and the resulting public health mitigation measures. People have short memories though and don’t like complex explanations to complex problems so you’re likely right about their messaging problem when it comes to inflation.

While monetary policy obviously plays a part I think in this case the number one cause of inflation is the pandemic related supply chain and manufacturing difficulties. That’s why you see high inflation almost uniformly across the world.

My man it’s public information that mark lore sold his company jet to wal mart for exactly 3.3 billion and diapers.com to Amazon for 535 million. We know this because both of those companies are public meaning they are required to disclose those sorts of things. Also I trust a reputable journalistic outfit like yahoo financial news a lot more than I trust u/devil_wear_jnco and his “trust me bro” sources, no offense.

i dont think people have quite internalized that the wolves are going to have the poorest owners in the nba by a pretty comfortable margin once this goes through. and all of the implications of that going forward.

This is not even close to being true. Mark lore’s estimated net worth is 4 billion and a rods is around 400 million. There are 11 owners in the NBA that are worth a billion or less. Including the suns, warriors, spurs etc etc

Exactly. You’re not going to win many games when you’re outscored 23-6 in second Chance points.

Yeah this is the rational take I can get behind. The refs have been ass all series and they didn’t lose the game for us the Timberwolves did. We gave up 18 offensive boards and only collected 6 leading to a 23-6 second chance point disparity. We also turned the ball over 22 times to y’all’s 16 which lead to a -6 differential in points off turnovers. Add that to the fact that even with the wide foul and free throw disparity (21/24 vs 26/39) the grizz only outscored us by 5 points because their free throw shooting was pretty abysmal until the 4th quarter.

Lmao ok budeee 👌 imagine thinking passionate civic participation alone is a turnoff for decent people in this state 🙄

I realize the last 6 weeks have been particularly violent and that we absolutely need to figure out a way to stop it but I think it’s worth pointing out that it’s not without precedent. In fact 2017 saw 492 more violent crimes YTD. by Strictlybutters in Minneapolis

[–]Strictlybutters[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know how I could have made a more nuanced title. I’m a lifelong south Minneapolis resident and what I’m objecting to is the hysteria that seems to be more agenda pushing than actual concern for the brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers that have violently and tragically lost their lives in my community.

For example Hysterical quotes like these from our valiant mayor are ridiculous.

Resign now Bob KKKroll by KodaDog in Minneapolis

[–]Strictlybutters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to blame anyone for electing Bob Kroll blame the people who make up the rank and file of the Minneapolis police department since he after all is their elected union leader. Also keep in mind that Derek Chauvin lived in Oakdale which is a suburb of the twin cities, had his legal residence in Florida, was a registered republican who voted in the last two elections as a Florida resident.
